Mr TamiyaCowboy wrote: Voice coms : its rubbish total rubbish, infact im ashamed to say i try and use it. i was squad leader, i could hear my gang, but my voice was a littke red cross, no green speach bubble. this fails big time. i spent a quarter of the match typing " my coms dont work" in squad chat and the same time trying to get the thing working. my exact words " this ****ing piece of stupid ****ing **** voice **** " sorry yeah its that bad CCP,
Are you sure you didn't have push to talk turned on? Try turning it off, just make sure to get rid of background noises.

I ran into some kind of bug while joining the third match for Tronhadar tonight. I was refreshing the battle screen waiting for the battle to appear, but the one that showed up for me was a caldari / gallente match. I could see minmatar corps on both teams in the player list. Eventually I was kicked back to quarters from the initializing screen and the real battle showed up on my list. Unfortunately it was already full |

I got into all 3 of my corps battles on Friday night, and I have to say that it was the most fun I've had with Dust so far. The only thing that was different was that people really cared about winning, which meant that most of the team was active on comms. There were upgraded tanks in every battle, but they didn't even come close to dominating. There was one amarr tank on Saturday that had the initiative for a bit at the start of the map, but with a little teamwork we kept him penned in where he wasn't able to keep us from holding B and C. He later died after I got on a hill overlooking him and threw AV nades on top of him :3
The comms reminded me so much of a major fleet battle in null space. I can see this being way more fun once the outcome of a match has real consequences, and you're playing with a regular group of people you know well instead of randoms. |
