There were no Logis repairing the massive damage we were dealing to the other two tanks, which were moments from being destroyed.
We had that match in the bag, and it would be very unfair if the rematch saw Seituoda winning.
***EDIT*** Apparently we won the rematch. Because of me shouting "BATTLE RESTARTS IN 5 MINUTES" over and over in the Local Channel, all 16 spaces on Crux were filled instantly. No one from Seituoda must have done that, because they had 4 troops for most of the match, which upped to 7 near the end. |

CCP, there is a MAJOR bug in which after getting in the Corporation Battle and the player list screen. The game will go the controller loading screen, but drop the player back to the MQ. This bug affected 12 different players that I know of. I will also be submitted a bug report on its behalf.
Other than that please open up 32 vs 32 corp battle so many Minmatar are hungry to kill all Amarr and their God. |

Look, there has to be some sort of cut off for this "We lost, game is so unfair." stuff. I say make it at the border between high and low sec space. If the Amarr were too lazy, or forgot the time or if the dog ate the note that they wrote down the time of battle on and they were unable to sign in enough clones to fight then too bad.
On the other hand, if there were enough people trying to sign in and the game just didn't send them, yes, that should be fixed.
But if you went to your local chat during corp. faction wars it looked like it was all members of your corp. So get in the chat and get people to get in battle and not miss the boat.
Basically looks like Amarr lost because Minmatar was much more well organized and had a lot of people all prepared to fight. Well, that and rumor has it magically appear to spawn camp before the Amarr had even spawned in at the first point the first time in one battle. That sounds like it kind of sucked. |

From the battles I played I really enjoyed it, using the mics, working as a team! The battles did seem one sided because of tanks, and I was on a team that fielded a lot of em. But like CCP have said, they are addressing the issue of "Immortal Tanks".
I don't think balancing was an issue at all! Its not like your corp can score a big contract and if the other team decides not to show up, it should limit the opposing/defending corp. I think the main issue with people not having enough players was down to bugs! After the US games tonight at-least 5 of us didn't get a game from being disconnected, and then getting stuck on the 'Battle Initializing' screen.
For a 1st test on Corp-Battles I think a lot was probably learned! |

I got into two of the games tonight.
The first one it was 8:07pm est and the other team already had control of all three objectives and two tanks spwan camping.
The second game it was 8:42(I think) and I'm pretty sure it was one person on their team that spawned three tanks. There should be a limit on how many tanks can be on the battlefield. Imagine all 32 players spawn a tank for themselves..... Or so many tanks per team.
The third game(a few of us planned in the chat room during downtime) as it was loading the player list it sent me back to my quarters. After I reset I kept an eye on the menu for an opening and when I got in all my dropsuits were INVALID...

I got into one game 10 min before I had to leave for work, AC did well and probably won but I had to afk to hopefully get a win after dropping some nanos and uplinks to support a little for my first and only game this weekend..
Needs more games going, and more time options. |

First game went well, managed to join without a hitch, forget which corp we were fighting but we red lined them early on, there was one HAV on our side and I think the highest kd on our side was 7 or 8 for 1 or 2, wasn't a frag fest, they either didn't field many players or had enough sense not to run out to the slaughter, they tried to snipe or use the turrets. Either way it was a good match, just the second one I tried to join I had trouble with. |

Besides tanks ruling the battlefield I have enjoyed the event. As for the event goes IT's have lost all matches, I blame low participation numbers on matches.
Keep up the good work CCP and I hope that future events will be as great as they have been this far. |

As there is a single game at 30 minutes intervals its not easy to join. i got stuck at the loading screen before game was reset last night. These games have devolved into a total tankfest, and due to the many, many alterations to all the AV weapons they are not easy to get ride of them. Even LAV have become more of a handful - locked a basic S Launcher onto an on coming LAV, fired the cluster at it and the missiles didnot destroy it. Point blank and it suvived. where as before the weakend the launcher would have destroyed the LAV completely. |

16-on-16 tank battle? Sounds pretty fun to me. But I agree that can be frustrating if both sides aren't using vehicles proportionally.

For me the corp. battles have been the only thing I have been able to get into easily, otherwise its been like trying to shave teeth to get them brighter. That includes getting the INVALID problem multiple times a day.
Edit: It's a shame because I am LOVING this game so far. |

Let me start out by saying that I love this game, not so much for what it is but for what it will become. That is the reason that I offer any feedback at all on these forums. I am not by nature a forum ***** and don't much give a **** how many likes I get or what anyone things of me.
Corp v Corp battles as they were presented this time might as well be a random ambush match. Regardless of whither you call them "corp" battles or not, you are forced to play with randoms. No Corp is going to accept a contract if they can only field 5 or 6 players when the match starts. Of course we don't know how many people weren't able to connect or had the stuck loading screen or the invalid bug.
I understand that you may be also testing some of the faction warfare stuff in connection with these battles. My point and the point I have tried to make in other threads is that corp v corp battles will have little meaning till you put player corps into the game. The NPC corps when the game starts will be filled with thousands of RANDOM players. Since a lot of us are already in clans or corps that means our friends are all scattered. We want to play with the same people from match to match and I don't mean a 4 man squad.
I have noticed in regular battles while they are still initializing, that whole squads have been quitting games, maybe due to their other squad being on the other side? Could this be contributing to the number of games when you are stuck before getting into a match or loosing connection and timing out of the battles?
On a side note, it would help greatly with voice coms if the the defaults were voice coms on, team selected, and push to talk off. Most games there are only one or two players on coms. I suspect that a big reason for this is that there are squads on ts trying to sync when they join a match. |

Was really looking forward to Corp battles as a game mode where winning was going to matter more than kill to death ratio. I've played about 10 of them now and I'm sorry to report that I won't be playing them anymore until something radically changes. In every match I've played the opposing corporation has had a full 16 member roster before the start of the match, while I've seen my own Corporation start with anything between 2 and 8 members. I don't need to keep playing to tell you how a 2v16 is going to play out every time.
Some system of minimum players on each team (which we used to have, but was taken out when matches weren't starting fast enough) and the ability for other people to fill a contract after a certain length of time if the Corporation cannot seem like a good place to start. For instance, having the slots initially available to the Corp for 2 minutes, then opening up to the entire Faction, and then opening it to the Allied Faction as well. (Once we get out of NPC Corp territory, a similar system where your Blues can help your Corp seems like a natural step.) I've seen a lot of people complaining about 16 slots being too few for their Corporation's numbers, so surely they would like the opportunity to join another Corp's battle to lend a hand.
Until this changes, I won't be coming back to Corporate Battles and I imagine that others in the Corps that are under-represented will be doing the same. You're going to end up in a negative feedback loop where the understaffed NPC Corps never have enough people joining Corp Battles so no one from those Corps is ever joining Corp Battles. Maybe you should take another look at the RNG assigning starter Corps CCP. I like playing cards, but there's no point playing against a stacked deck. |

I also believe that could be a pretty fun battle. Battefield 3 is actually coming out with such a game mode called Tank Superiority & Battlefiled 1943 had a mode that was just fighter planes which was quite fun & interesting if you loved fighter planes. However the catch to having such modes in in DUST 514 would be the vehicles actually costing money to use & being very expensive, especially the high-end & customized ones. As fun as it would be to play such a game mode in DUST 514 I don't see that being practical due to the vehicles costing money to use. Perhaps if a special arcade or "simulator" mode was created in which all items had no cost or value then that "might" work, especially since vehicle spamming would actually be desired or the purpose of that mode. |

Loved the corp v corp battles, but then I got into 5 matches and we won them all. Granted I had to reboot after every match, but it was worth it. Also our corp has numerous people on comms and the will to use them, so although I had no mic, I could follow the actions/orders. There were occassional lag spikes during combat but otherwise it was good. |

Another corp battle... another world of tanks but this time with not just 5 tanks but 2 dropships aswell whilst 8 v 12.
I even tried planting explosives this time but the tanks could spot me from well over 400 metres away so naturally I had very limited success. At least give me a decent map to play on so I can use cover to get closer to the damn things but you wont even do that
Cant test shite with this going on all the time CCP, but at least it wasnt laggy this time thats all the constructive feedback I can give you. I had better get my rewards for suiciding myself into all these tanks. Or any other test in the future I will just tell you where you can stick it. I will just go play BF3 instead at least they understand the concept of balance between vehicles and classes |

I haven't been able to get into a corp battle because I didn't know when they were. Did I miss an announcement or is there a fixed time for them?
That being said, I have noticced significant lag and mulitple random dcs today, but no invalid fits thankfully. As for everyone complaining about tanks I just want to point out that this is war and one side isn't going to hamstring itself for the sake of fairplay. You don't see EVE pliots pulling Titans off the field because it's unfair. I haven't experienced the AV nerf yet but if it's as bad as everyone says, that really needs to be looked at.
EDIT: I don't really know what stance to take on one side of a corp battle being undermanned. On the one hand, it could be interpreted as a corp with idle members being preyed upon by others, or that the other corp waited until the other team logged out. But on the other hand, these are just NPC corps at the end of the day. I think perhaps adopting the system suggested earlier in this thread (kudos to the author of that suggestion) that allies should be allowed to fill vacant slots in a battle. Or, the defending corp recieves warning by an automated notification that a fleet of warbarges is approaching, giving them some time to muster (though I think this system will be most effective after launch)

You want feedback? When i did get in it was to a match where the other team had 6 people the rush was on. The A B and C points were soon capped and the push was made for the enemy base. By this time more people were joining on the enemy team only to die at the hands of tank spam into their base where people started dropping the server. I can only guess at what they thought of you CCP
Honest opinion - ill thought out and rubbish. I hope the numbers you gained is worth the customers you've potentially lost. |

Open The battle finder and watch out for a match that pops up there in the next few mins. Best advice i can give you is as soon as you see it join as fast as you can and hope for the best. Makes no difference if your eu or us. There's an US match starting about now. |

FYI CCP,
At aprox 8:06p, Eastern Time US, I joined the Crux corp battle, went through the Battle initializing, thought the controler loading screen and into the War Barge. After being in the WB for about 3 seconds, I was booted back to the merc quarters and unable to rejoin the game as it was already full.
I hope this feedback helps you in finding the bugs. |
