I'm going the opposite way. By the time you have Metal Gears the Mur will be using Magitech and Biological Engineering to grow their Metal Gears.

By understanding Nature and the forces the govern it we can then bend it to our will and create technologies from it that defy all human logic and understanding.
I mean ever wondered what it would be like to fight and enemy who has weaponry the very earth under your feet?

Nah I want a cultural victory. Kalya doesn't care about world domination or pantheistic supremacy nor do the Mur....except the Stormdaughters and Vinnetir.
We accept that all is transient and one day the silver thread of hair comprising our very universe that fell from Kalya's head with crash down into the ocean below and be swallowed by it.

Jonny, what you were looking for was 'Everything in Ordis, operator? Hmm... was that a pun? I shall make sure to correct that fault." (Not exact words, but near I think)
Well, True, Spade, while you two are warring with your Metal Gears and Bioweaponry, I shall be taking to the stars... Then I will probably take my people as far away as possible from your lunacy.
EDIT: Waiting on your TBC, Jonny.

Diplomacy is convincing your enemies that there is nothing to gain in striking at you and at the same time this is their own idea.

Yeah, I will take the 50 years you have of building 5 small moons, I will capitalize greatly off of the united people of the Tal-Alliance. Why with the space/sea faring of the Mur/ Osmar, the assistance of Cats, and built on the backs of the Ants/blood slaves, I imagine it would not take long to subjugate your 5 worlds.

Oh no my friend. After I exterminate the Kami it's off to lay the genocide on the Cathay Raht because fish people and cat people cannot exist in the same world. It's a matter of survival really.
After that we'll come to some agreement about how things should be before I make pacts with the summon spirits and break the world into three different parallel planes thus ending the Great War in the Holy Ground of Kharlan.

The Great Wars were between A'Kami and Parians. It is now cannon.
And Vash, who said 5 small moons? I said planets. By the time the fighting on this planets ends with you victorious, the resources will likely be running low (We're talking about world domination on a planet much larger than Earth.
You'll be hoping to have the resources while I have 5 planets' worth of resources.
Also, I would imagine if we are up to colonizing planets, we would be able to massacre any opposing forces quickly.
Joking aside, let's try to progress just a bit faster in sense of both events happening as well as time moving.

I'm codifying Fabricae Manufacturing as Magitech using the minerals you yourself said I discovered in the Isles capable of storing various kinds of energies.
Y'know what I'm going to make first right?

Nope, I have the Kami, which puts me on your shitlist.
Also, Yoi (A Kami) is in the Isle if you have forgotten. Have fun
He's probably still trying to improve the Parian image in the eyes of the Mur people.
He's fallen for Sephrena, the poor sap.
Anyway, give me a basis of everyday Mur life and enjoy the post I will post.
Seriously though, Yoi will likely attempt to greet Shuri'den on her return just in hopes of improving the... yeah you get it.

Well I need rifles that won't cause my people to spontaneously combust... than and in time I want to be first nation to produce Automata capable of intelligent thought. Good attempt at edit, but too slow.
I would love to see that.

Well while the Mur have comparatively more authority users than most landborn species do only a small number of them actually have any appreciable talent.
As such it relies on an already taxed human resource and a single rather abundant mineral resource to function.
The purpose of Magi-Technology is to reduce the burden on Shapers by allowing them to store their Authorities which can be released at a later time to power a Fabricae to facilitate the function of pumps, lifts, drive systems, and even weapons discharges by reducing tasks that should require complex sequences of magic to perform into ones that only require singular commands.
I don't really know how to balance it's destructive power vs technology yet but I do intend to produce rifles, high pressure water cannon, ironclads, and amphibious armoured vehicles.

"This whole Magi-technology thing smells fishy...." said Queen Aeschild as she sat upon her throne wondering how the Mur had suddenly been able to create vessels clad in iron and cannon that fired compressed water powerful enough to punch holes in wooden ships at close range.
"Very fishy indeed." Considered the Prime Minister of the Pan Tal-Man Congolmerate as he wondered how the Mur had developed armoured vehicles those his own people employed without belching smog into the air and that could emerge from the water like monsters from the depths of the seas.
"Not at all." Replied Krion who had just mounted the first of the Paric rockets destined for the moon. "Combustion Engines are easy."
