No no no. Not sold. They are still property of the PTM and just got transferred from the shipping/exploring division to labor and resources division. Currently breed like cattle while still being figured out the best way to control them. Also maybe a cure for the women so that they stop producing venom... Ah to save them from that curse, the noblest of causes.

Also Raven can I get a roll for siege progress on the Cauti fort. With the low end being status quo. Final thing, what does the distribution of towns and forts look like in Cauti controlled lands?

So you wish to cage the Artugians, force them to breed and declaw them. That's it I'm calling PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Artugians)!

No declaw that seems way to harsh... Have you ever read Gulliver's Travels? Great totally enjoyed it, but the horse people had a problem with the humans breeding way to much, but they did not want to outright kill them. So they castrated them, want a way to just turn them in to civilized creatures, normal nail length, no poison. Good little obedient slaves that can not kill you, and that are also much easier to kill.
Ah the wonders of playing Umbrella Corp.

Then it's not really assassination is it. Plus I agree with you. The Skadii-an Navy is all about fire power and mobility.....just not staying power.... plus I often feel like having what amounts to a rudimentary gravity manipulation magic makes fighting Mur really scary on the oceans.
Never underestimate the vast and arguably over powered applications of mundane/vector magic. Attraction, Repulsion, Restoration, Vibration, Tension, Resonation, Abrasion.

Well Raven gave me a mineral that can hold the essence of magic.....so I will soon have automatic doors with the Push/Pull Authorities.... only joking on that one but Push/Pull pumps are certainly important for Mur culture.
I'm thinking or working on self contained Abrasion starting fires and hot pool bathing as well as Resonation based audible messages though I've not worked out how the Fabricae responsible of converting the Authority into cohesive sentences will work.
Magi Technology for the win! Eventually Magi-Bio Technology in the far future.

Ria looks at the rock, kisses Sia'tri, the Mur gets covered in blood, party time?

It will all come clear at the festival. The whole marking Sia'tri in blood is just the elders giving their blessing in front of the other Artugians. If they didn't do it Jon would be challenged for leadership on an hourly basis. Slowly going to work on an internal political struggle that will change Artuga and affect their relationships with the Mur, the Parica and the Tal-Men. This is just the first sign of Jon losing his control and having to rely on the elders.
As for Ria, I was originally going to have her smash her claws with the rock but it wouldn't be her place to do so as Sia'tri retrieved the rock.

Well the ritual is usually get the rock, smash claws, go off into the bushes for five minutes, the male walks out like he's some kind of hot sh*t and the woman comes out looking rather disappointed.
The only part of it that is ritualistic is the breaking of claws. It symbolizes that you are willing to go through the greatest humiliation known to Artugians for this person you married. So I guess if there is a way for Sia'tri to humiliate himself you could do that as usually its the one who brings the stone from the volcano that has to break his/her claws.
A little side note: Jon had 4 other wives but Ria is the only wife that he broke his own claws for. And yes the claws do grow back, eventually.

Well mine are: Bloody Jon Greatclaw, the Uniter, Great Leader of Artuga, Tribal Cheiftan of Durna. (Needs moar titles!) - Second youngest Greatclaw of all time! (K'lo was the youngest) -Loves a good laugh
Ria of Durna -Third wife of Jon -First Artugian to marry another race.
Murk, son of Morya of Drishna, the Wandering Tribe. -Leader of the first Artugian Warband.
Ohk of Drishna - One of Jon's three guards -Has extensive knowledge of Artuga and the forest.
The Three Elders -Chosen by Jon to help him keep the peace between the three tribes, but are slowly taking power away from the throne of skulls.

Raven tell me if you approve/disapprove of the most recent post. Can and will edit since I really don't like it. Gimme till this evening and I'll make it much better.
Characters of the Skadii-an Isles and the Sourthern Oceans
Shuri'den, She of Shalvys that Was, Diviner of the Whorl - Central Leader of the Mur - Powerful Tide-Shaper of the Attraction and Repulsion Authorities - Scholar and Songstress
Man'tiel, Maelstom Commander , Vinnetir's Aspect, Self Professed Greatest Lover in Skadia (since he won Tammari'sen) - Covenant sanctioned Pirate - Embodiment of Vineteer's (Storm God and Male Passion) aspects - Fleet Commander and Warrior
Tammari'sen, High Priestess of Vinnetir, Storm-Shaper, Lady Tempesteyes - Storm-Shaper of the Tension, Abrasion, and Resonation Authorities - High Priestess of the Daughters of Vinnetir - Man'tiel's to-be-Bondmate
Sia'tri, Firewalker, Master of the Southern Expedition - Master of the South Seas/Artugian Expedition - Husband-to-be to Ria - Pathfinder
Sephrena - Shuri'den's protege - Songstress in training
Kal'm, Seashrive - Diplomatic Envoy to Osmarium - Tide Shaper of the Attraction and Repulsion Authorities (apparently rivals Shuri'den) - Leader of the Mur Cohorts in Osmarium
Adelya, Seneschal of Errecist, High Wave Lady, Lady Silver Crest - Leader of the Murguard (Shuri'den and the Mur Lakes personal Guard) - Master Axe Mur - Supreme Commander of Mur Cohorts.
Mur I have decided tend to use other names of people and I will be keeping a list of them. For women this title is prefixed by Lady and then their given name. For males it is simply the title with no honorific given. Usually is as a measure of respect while speaking with others. For the purpose of convenience I'll use the same names every time though the Mur usually make up their own ones from their perspective of the person.
Names mean a lot to Mur.
E.g-
Lady Fairwinds - Aeschild of Osmarium Greatclaw - Jon, Great Leader of the Durna Tribe, of Artugia Stonewarden - Kalimat of the Cauti Lady Redshroud - Owner now deceased, formerly of the Drishna Tribe, or Artugia Lady Nightstalker - K'lo, Ancestor of the Durna Tribe, or Artugia

I highly approve, although the speech of the Parians is a bit off.
Should you try to be rude, use phrases like 'Back to Dreadwinds Hatchery with you!' (Anti-Mur and Anti-Kami) and 'Why don't just let the seas carry you away from us.'
They tend to pronounce their words correctly, sometimes carrying out the letter 'S' in any words, as per usual with their accents.
Kalimat does not have this accent, however, being raised by Osmarii.
Oh! And I will write a post for the burial the morning after the attack. I can not wait to see the next post though, very good descriptions too.
