There should be standard level BPOs of all role specific suits(sentinal, logistics, etc) for all races. It would be nice to see standard weapons as well but it's not really necessary as most people use advanced weapons.

With there being no advanced warning the bolas should do zero collision damage(and perhaps if the bolas were to hit something friendly have the bolas move out of the way). It should collide with and move enemy units but do no damage to them.

It will still be an excellent sidearm after splash damage reduction, it just won't be a light weapon replacement anymore(actually it probably would still be viable to run dual flaylocks to great effect). Shotguns are broken right now.
