Just because something gets more time on the kill feed doesn't make it unbalanced. If you actually want to see if a weapon is balanced you can't just look at how many kills it gets overall, you need to look at how many kills it gets per user life...

IIRC the devs rely more on their numbers than forum rantings. They still read the forums and take into account what people are saying but it's by no means the defining factor for game balancing.
