The physics can be tweaked. I haven't noticed any trouble with turret operation. I get annoyed when blueberries hit my own ship with its own turrets nudging me a bit, but besides that, I don't think have a forge gun, md, AR firing out of the side ...

Quietly spawning in on the ground at least gives you an opportunity to sneak up on the opponent. A flaming dropsuit will lack that stealth and give every sniper/tank/griefer an instant bookmark of your location.

As a level 3 Gallented Dropship pilot, I am disheartened by the lack of WP I get (and subsequent tiny ISK payouts) I get for flying around an expensive and useful vehicle. I pick people up, I drop em off, harass tanks and infantry with my rockets....
