I agree with this too. I actually like this taken further. To the point where you upgrade a skill to get a bigger bonus and unlocking extra equipment is just a side benefit rather than the other way around. That'd take a lot of fiddling though.

The happens every now and again without warning. The Oceania server just disappears from the list. Sometimes is comes back after a few hours and a reset. Sometimes it doesn't.

It could be that you actually missed and they heard the shot. Hit detection will never be perfect. It could also be the range. Perhaps you were at super long range and thus was doing negligible damage?

CCP needs to come up with some way of making the small turrets on all vehicles a viable weapon. Due to weird lag effect the shots never go where you're aiming unless the vehicle is stationary.
