Cmon, we're getting a free booster, we have all this extra SP, and you guys still want a respec?

Let it go. I wanted a respec until I decided to try out scrambler pistols. Just do something new. IWS has it right in this regard; his omni-soldier build means he can try something new every week.

Respecs should only come if there is massive change. Uprising needed one. We don't need one now. I'd say the only real necessity would come from racial dropsuits, BUT remember that there is the possibility of pirate faction dropsuits, which require two dropsuit skills anyway.

Or if they totally change the skill system again. But I really doubt it. I'll admit the skill system ain't perfect, but I realise it probably doesn't need drastic change either.

And just a note: I've never played with boosters. My unallocated SP usually never goes above 500k. I have prototype gear but I'm not satisfied. I'd love to try something new with a respec, but the whole point of progression crumbles.

The whole reason New Eden keeps you coming back, the whole reason you keep complaining even as you play, the whole reason two years down the track the game will be twice as good if not better, is because of this progression. It's because you can't undo your mistakes like the stat reallocations that almost every other MMORPG allows you to purchase.

So deal with it. In the long-term we will lose more players than we keep if people keep getting respecs. The game will lose its purpose.

I think the CCP philosophy should be: If they change a skill or dropsuit with a related skill, even if it is -1% or +100% bonus, the skill points should be refunded immidiately when the patch hits. This should be accumulative from uprising start. In that case we would all get re-funded SP for our dropsuits (for example I lost my reload bonus, which was the ONLY REASON why I picked this assault ck.0 dropsuit over a gallente one). This means giving us the possibility to LIVE WITH OUR CHOICES. Not like today, live with your choices until CCP takes a dump on them.

People are leaving because they are tired of skilling into something and then finding out it is useless. Or they made foolish choices like I did. I spent over a year working on my tree and had i known what i know now i would have never ever used my sp the way i did. The grind on this game to get other skills is just to much. people dont have time for that. And if they do its probably because they have a very carefree life. I cant even log on for the sp event. Yea so much for extra sp.

If they rework the skill tree, respec. If not, no respect.

*sigh* Well atleast an update with new guns,vehicles, etc is finally coming. And hopefully with that we will get a respec. Hopefully.

CCP will just keep changing stuff on a non-rational basis (maybe it's rational but they need to give more info along, open communication anyone? We should get a petition on that subject) so your respec will be meaningless untill they get their together .

Just enjoying what you have and if you really want a chance, just get them where it hurts, quit the game for a while instead of feeling frustrated.
