I went to have a chat with CPM and CCP and had a discussion on what there is to be done.

I care about this game dude, even if you cant see it. How can I as a CPM know how to fix the game if i dont know how much its broken. Is it even broken? i dont have an answer for that yet. Some would say that its partly down to a silly director just accepting an application with no background check less than 5 hours before a corp match. These things are being talked to about CCP and i am also working on it. So you saying that we should be kicked because you got your nickers in a twist is just silly and unfair.

also id like clarification on some things?

1) what issues are there to be raised from having 2 CPMs from the same corp (ignoring the fact that IWS is no longer with us)
2) does is this also an issue that we have 2 CPMs in the same alliance and 3 in a coalition? again, explain it to me.
3) seeing as two thirds of the CPM where where in the same corp at one point is this also an issue? moar explain pls.

the fact of the matter is that if you think being on the CPM will give our corps/alliances some sort of advantage then you are massivly overestimating the powers that we as CPM hold.

We want to make the game better and successful. so a CCP appointed CPM doing anything in his or her position for personal gain is very very bad and would mostly end in shitstorm.

How can one expect to understand something without first partaking? I'm perfectly fine with the CPM or their corps having first hand experience with how ridiculously easy it is to awox someone. Partly because it will probably result in the faster development of better corp management tools than if the CPM were all little goody two-shoes and stayed out of it, and partly because this is New Eden - where if you're not playing dirty, you're not doing it right.

Both of these CPM members have now on the record voiced support for the tactic known as AWOXing. This tactic while it can be considered meta-game is obviously a major problem for planetary conquest due to a severe lack of corporation controls and is far to easy to pull off. The job of CPM is to be the advocate for the community so that dust can thrive, however it seems that that duty has been set aside and replaced with their duty to Betamax (and their use of AWOXing) and the defense of a tactic that will turn the greatest part of dust into a side show.

When CPM0 was announced many members of the community voiced their concerns of having 2 members of CPM from the same corporation and now it seems that those concerns have been proven valid. Any CPM members who have the community as their top priority would quickly condemn this tactic, and would use their influence to push CCP to give corporation leadership stronger controls over their PC battle roster.

There are asshats, griefers, team killers and otherwise slimy individuals. There is no honor except for the ones the community or you decide and even they only exist in opinions. I have no doubts that what i did was going to happen (hell it sorta allready did once!) but its not a big deal so long as you play smart and understand that not everyone will play fair.

How is using spies any less cheap than using tac ARs and other OP equiptment?

Nobody suggested it was acceptable... perhaps read the thread. It was suggested that there is a way to deal with it right now not that it was ideal or that nothing else was needed.

While I understand and agree with he process of seeing just how broken something is before changing it, the immaturity of the CPM here leaves much to be desired.

If so I really hope their influence is nil. The idea of having a bunch of random ass people only elected due to corp/alliance structure be appointed community advocates rather than just having devs actually engage and be a part of the community seems inefficient, and ill suited to a console gamer base in general.

Awoxing is not an exploit, and it never has been in all the years of EVE's and New Eden's existence.

CCP has gone ON RECORD as saying you will be able to betray your corporation or your employers at will. We are called MERCENARIES for a reason. Spies are part of the game, and are working as intended. USE YOUR KITTENING BRAINS AND THINK OF SAFETY MEASURES.

This isn't meant to be a game where hands are held, where you can start doing PC and do a few corp battles here and there without a care in the world. It's a game of backstabbing and strategy. The best corps can be taken down by one saboteur, if they don't have any safety measures. I would say that the Imps are susceptible, but knowing them, they probably already have a few safety measures in place.

Jenza did the dirty with a member of CCP to get on CPM. She then got CCP/CPM only info and used it to benefit her corp/alliance.
