Nothing wrong with awoxing - that's an integral part of the game, it's what New Eden is all about. However, some degree of protection from this would be nice. Make it so only squad leaders with a specific role can join, for instance. |

I just want to get this straight. Regardless at how ABSURDLY easy it is to ruin PC battles for a corp - you're going to call that a tool and HTFU over it's use? You mean after sitting in this dirt for **** game for a year testing it, always hoping for a better future... after suffering through a TERRIBLE expansion filled with the most ridiculous nerfs and changes - I now have to worry that any 2-bit idiot will jump onto his alt right in time to hijack PC and ruin it for everyone? All in the name of some other ******* games meta? Wow and holyshit. So everytime a terrible mechanic CCP is too dumb to test before releasing is shown it's going to turn into a 'meta' tool. That's fuckin' great. I support sabotage - but not when it's this easy to do.
+1
THAT IS IT!!!!!! Dust was created to fuel the meta for eve, and that is all.
Also the ease and retardness of (broken or lack of CEO/Director options) an infiltration is Unskillfull and merits no bragging rights Jenza my dear.
Seems like Jenza is fueling the politics here, I hate politics and I hate leaders that Knowingly exploit a system for personal benefit, then say "after the awox I went straight to CPM and CCP to explain the problem". Corruption need not be on the Council.
You my dear are worthless as a leader of the CPM and are hurting the game, believe it or not. |

We almost couldn't get a team in the other day cause some genius decided he wanted to try PC without an invite... and his mic turned off We spend half an hour deciding our roster, and then any random member can just screw it all up? |

The only reason its a problem now is because theres no counter for it. It should be possible to infiltrate an enemy corp, but there needs to be a way for corporations to deal/counter it. API's would be a good start. So would assigning roles. Giving every officer a director role is...... difficult. |

Oh goody, I always wanted to be a part of one of these threads.
Adressing AWOXing - this has been a long time and supported meta-game strategy that CCP has supported, including early into DUST 514's development. There is nothing that will "ruin" Planetary Conquests, it actually adds more to the "risk/reward" that a group must factor in.
To the OP; calling for just two CPM0 members to be forcefully removed for supporting a mechanic, and in at least one case participating in it, is not the most ideal way to get your message across. If your petition succeeds it will only state that CCP has little to no interest in making DUST 514 much beyond a FPS clone that lacks the depth of its sister game, EVE Online, which is heavily a part of this games long term success. If you refer back to an early promotional video CCP makes it shown that a DUST 514 group is betrayed by their EVE counterpart. This is in essence AWOXing and was, seemingly, a part of a Planetary Conquest. Your stance is counter to what CCP put out there for all potential consumers to latch onto and opt to use DUST 514 than Call of Duty, Planetside 2 and any other FPS game in the market.
The only legitimate complaint you can make at this point is that there is no API system in place for corporations to verify a member has a clean background and isn't likely to AWOX or steal valuables. This system is in place in EVE and even then the players find a way around it, its not perfect but it works as intended. You want a deterrent to the system and to call for someone who was able to successfully AWOX be removed from the council that talks directly with CCP over matters such at these, you are in fact making it impossible for an adequate countermeasure to be put in place. Jenza knows the loophole and can help CCP understand how to not only allow groups to be protected by such a loophole, but to exploit it for themselves.
There is a thing we mention in other games about "honor" and "respect", its called E-Bushido and its very hard to find someone in a CCP game, whether it be EVE, DUST 514 or even down the line in World of Darkness, who will give a damn about such a train of thought. CCP makes games that are known as "social experiments" by some, and are all about backstabbing, and taking advantage of your opponents weaknesses. This is common practice in EVE, and will be common practice in DUST 514.
Your concerns about Planetary Conquest being ruined and DUST dropping to just 1000 members are unfounded and just pure speculation on your part and are based solely on your emotional response to the situation. As previously stated, CCP has supported AWOXing in all its forms over the past 10 years and have been praised for creating such a cut-throat universe for players to be a part of. Removing this element from DUST 514, an expansion of sorts for EVE Online, would be far more detrimental to the long term health of the game. Its unfortunate if you were a victim, but perhaps take off the tinfoil hat that Riverini stapled to your head and learn more about how EVE/DUST work than complain outright about an actual mechanic being used successfully as it was intended. Instead, please provide possible ways for potential victims to protect themselves (API, Auth systems etc. etc.)
Your faithfully

What the **** is up with you? T20 was caused by a member of CCP giving special preference to his alliance in the T2 BPO lotteries, not by discovering Awoxing. This is nowhere near as bad as T20, no CCP member has been implicated as causing this issue or contributing to it in any way shape or form whatsoever, so loosen the tinfoil around your brain and shove off.
AFAIK, Grief U was the first people to do it, and we sure as hell didn't have CCP help. We just saw a mechanic we could use to cause tears and laughs, and we used it. |

PC is the draw to this game, how long do expect it to last when new players enter the field and find out winning fights doesn't matter. The only thing that will matter is your ability to juggle multiple alts just to be able to run the main corp and the alt corp. The solution of holdign corps isn't very viable due to chat channel restrictions in dust. EoN has been hit with the tactic once, and it might happen again. I don't bring this up because I'm worried about loosing districts, I do it because I worry about loosing Dust. PC so far has been the most fun I've ever had in New Eden. The fights have been tough, and the victories have been rewarding. I won't let this tactic threaten the validity of PC.

Also, if this is true about her spending the night with a member of CCP during fanfest, then how can anyone (outside of Jenza and the CCP member) be 100% sure that other sensitive information wasn't passed on? How do you know that there aren't any other internal weaknesses in the code that may have been passed along? Passing along information such as loopholes in the code is the same at this point in time (given that this happened just at the open of PC) as passing along items to profit in-game. |
