Deluxe Edition wrote:Both of these CPM members have now on the record voiced support for the tactic known as AWOXing. This tactic while it can be considered meta-game is obviously a major problem for planetary conquest due to a severe lack of corporation controls and is far to easy to pull off. The job of CPM is to be the advocate for the community so that dust can thrive, however it seems that that duty has been set aside and replaced with their duty to Betamax (and their use of AWOXing) and the defense of a tactic that will turn the greatest part of dust into a side show.
When CPM0 was announced many members of the community voiced their concerns of having 2 members of CPM from the same corporation and now it seems that those concerns have been proven valid. Any CPM members who have the community as their top priority would quickly condemn this tactic, and would use their influence to push CCP to give corporation leadership stronger controls over their PC battle roster.
dude... lol
This is New Eden.
There are asshats, griefers, team killers and otherwise slimy individuals. There is no honor except for the ones the community or you decide and even they only exist in opinions. I have no doubts that what i did was going to happen (hell it sorta allready did once!) but its not a big deal so long as you play smart and understand that not everyone will play fair.
How is using spies any less cheap than using tac ARs and other OP equiptment?
the answer?
its all subjetive.
We all have the same tools at our disposal, its up to us on how to use it.

I understand the New Eden metagame just as you must understand that the abuse of this mechanic will turn PC into a joke. This mechanic stays and soon we will be happy when 1k people are online. PC is the reason I've stayed in Dust for a year, I'm not going to sit on the sidelines while the CPM advocates for tactics that will lead to PC being 4 people in an MCC cooking grenades on themselves. You might be content to want PC play out this way, but 90% of the community won't be. Some might find it funny now, but in the end the moment they start having to restart their PS3 several times a day for months on end to switch between alts in their main and holding corporation because of weak corporation control systems I don't think many people will be left laughing.
I defended your initial selection to the CPM Jenza because I thought I knew you had to games success at heart. I don't do this for personal vendettas. I want PC to be long running, however the abuse of the lack of corporation battle tools threatens the validity of it. You can do it for the lulz now, but in 6 months you may find yourself laughing alone in a giant blue dounut and no one to fight.
EXACTLY!
do you want to know the first thing i did after the match (appart from drinking those sweet forum tears you gave us)
I went to have a chat with CPM and CCP and had a discussion on what there is to be done.
I care about this game dude, even if you cant see it. How can I as a CPM know how to fix the game if i dont know how much its broken. Is it even broken? i dont have an answer for that yet. Some would say that its partly down to a silly director just accepting an application with no background check less than 5 hours before a corp match. These things are being talked to about CCP and i am also working on it. So you saying that we should be kicked because you got your nickers in a twist is just silly and unfair.
also id like clarification on some things?
1) what issues are there to be raised from having 2 CPMs from the same corp (ignoring the fact that IWS is no longer with us) 2) does is this also an issue that we have 2 CPMs in the same alliance and 3 in a coalition? again, explain it to me. 3) seeing as two thirds of the CPM where where in the same corp at one point is this also an issue? moar explain pls.
*hands a tin foil hat*
the fact of the matter is that if you think being on the CPM will give our corps/alliances some sort of advantage then you are massivly overestimating the powers that we as CPM hold.
We want to make the game better and successful. so a CCP appointed CPM doing anything in his or her position for personal gain is very very bad and would mostly end in shitstorm. |

Besides the fact that what they do displays a great level of cowardice, not to mention displays their superlative weakness to direct conflict, it also shows that this game supports the abuse of power that CCP has themselves practiced many times.
The community is immature, as is the governing power and the few representitives chosen to represent the community to the governing power. People are allowed to roam free, run their mouths and do as they wish in new eden as long as CCP developement team and GMs arnt insulted in the process.
Basically, they handed a three year old tools to create life and and a world, and if the three year old throws a tantrum he can get rid of whatever he wants. How can one expect to understand something without first partaking? I'm perfectly fine with the CPM or their corps having first hand experience with how ridiculously easy it is to awox someone. Partly because it will probably result in the faster development of better corp management tools than if the CPM were all little goody two-shoes and stayed out of it, and partly because this is New Eden - where if you're not playing dirty, you're not doing it right.
THANK YOU!
someone understands, and like i said up the page, I went to have a talk with CCP and the CPMs just after licking delicious tears. |

All while advocating the tactic on the forums mascarading it as a legitimate meta game and not just an exploit that will ruin PC. Believe it or not that CPM next to your name on every post means something.
you are the one who made a post about it, sweetie, not me. Also it seemed that your dudes where quite devided. There where both tears and classy congratulations.
On the record, i will say that its not an exploit but an issue and is a legitimate meta game. That doesnt mean that it wouldnt be useful to make a few more tools to lessen the effect. |
