Because you aren't a neutral third party. You're marriage with the Paric makes your nation an ally of Patris at best and a political pawn at worst.
Continent wise it's all a game of investments. I have a foot in the door with the Osmarii despite them being tied at the hip with Paris due to Krion's marriage to their queen leaving the two nations in an amicable relationship. Any foreign intrigue that triggers in Osmar will see the Mur involved and backing either the royals or the nobility and if necessary using military force to stop intervention by Patris, or risk seeing Osmar become a protectorate state.
As such my only options are to back either the Western Blooder States or the Tal-Man so that they benefit from an economic arrangement allowing them to oppose foreign intervention by either power.
That said I've also discovered a particular species that I find agreeable in the Southern Oceans far remote from the continent whom have been taken as slaves by the Tal. Rather than contest the cultural right of either I can simultaneously continue to ensure Artugans are freed from bondage without weakening the Tal-Man who actually benefit from this continued trade.
Because I immediately free any slaves I purchase I can't be accused or supporting slavery as no such concept exists in Mur society nor can I be seen to be slighting Tal culture without them accusing my own of being in the wrong. Outside entities simply can't accuse me either or risk losing out on the trade and shipping opportunities of the Mur.
Which leads me into my latest scheme..... but more on that later. All I have to do now is bide my time and wait for Magi-tech to bring me up to part with your nations.

Jonny won't like this but I am in the process of writing a post telling these Artugans to check their god damn cultural privilege because they're involved in something that doesn't just affect them so much as it now affects 3 entire peoples considering they aren't even aware that their Tribes have united, their Great Leader is dead, and that twelve ******* pissed of red heads with broken claws and no weapons are going to get their asses killed.
And of course that try as I might to be wise, kind, and ultimately benevolent ruler who just cut the chains from your ankles, which you twelve don't seem the least bit grateful for and by the way K'lo would be goddamn ashamed of this behavior, that you don't really have the right to question me because I didn't cross the entirety of the Southern Seas, a Continent, and a Battlefield just to be told no.
So my little ducklings you ARE going to come with me, you ARE not going to complain, and if you DO NOT I will have Kal'm challenge you punks to Durna or whatever nonsensical ritualized combat will get through your violent little skulls so I can get you asshats back to Artuga, recovered, and when you are in fighting shape you can come back and sort **** out.
TLDR?
Seriously, No.

I contest that claim, if anything the Paric would be the pawns. Besides, the only way these kingdoms could become united under one ruler is if Coenwulf doesn't usurp the throne and Krion does usurp the Paric throne. Or I guess any child of his could press a claim on the throne if they wished.
What're you looking at me like that for? I'll shank you I will.

Spade's actually right, on both subjects.
Patris is more likely to become the pawn, and Krion can take the throne of Patris if he so wishes. He does not seem to, and if he tried, Jakyl would likely resist.
There are actually three main allies to Patris.
Osmarium, the two nations' histories go far back, and they have often aided each other.
Artugians, After some... magic, the Parians were some of the first to offer help to the Artugians.
And the Isolationist nation of the Angelis.

Which I want to talk to you about good sir. Oddly enough I am placing way to much emphasis on Patris as a rival solely because of the Kami. Either way we'll see once the two inevitably clash. They have only once involved themselves in a war.
The second Great War.
It ended up with them having an alliance ever since.

Well admittedly they aren't bad but they are a little iffy from what I remember of the closed beta.
R2 and L2 are aim and shoot respectively. R1 and L1 activate your two equipment items.
D-Pad for Grenades, Special Ammo, Healing Options, and Supplies. Initially Grenades of the D-Pad might sound like and odd method but it works very well and you can do some pretty slick things with them.
X to enter cover, Square or O to vault..... it's pretty normal stuff.
A few quick bits of advice though for the Open Beta though will save you more than a few headaches later...
- Apparently in the Beta the standard M4 was the top killer. AR's are king in this game hands down though tend to be shorter range killers than you'd expect. In this 3rd person game people love to get close to you before they attack.
- DMR's are your best back up weapon with great accuracy, impressive RoF, and high damage. Lob a grenade, snag two headshots and your enemy is dead no questions asked. Great combo for attacking high points.
- Before you even head to the Darkzone complete both story mission on Hard Mode several times over for Blue quality Gear. Most players in Beta focused on HP and DPS. This time around a new turret tech power exists. We'll see how powerful it is.
- In the Darkzone keep an eye out for Darkzone keys. Get one or two then try to time it right to get a Darkzone chest. They contain loot and 1000DZ credits. This beta they won't open as often but they're the fastest way to get the top tier items. After you get a primary focus on grinding purple loot by earning DZ credits and visit the Dark Zone check points for different options.
- Before you start looking into fancy gadgets know that the humble Sensor Pulse Equipment option is hands down the best item to carry both in a team and on your own. Seeing hidden players through walls, increasing your damage against enemies, and also hiding yourself from enemy pulses is undeniably the best asset you will have. The Med-Kit is probably the second as it gives you a second powerful health regen option on a seperate cool down from your normal Med-Kits.
- Finally blind fire is undeniable. If someone tries to gun you down in the street and isn't using cover as they advance get to cover and blind fire them down. I've won 3v1 situations using flash bangs and blind fire.
- Always set your top weapon to your 'Specialist' Weapon. Why? Because quick swapping on the fly is a useful skill.
- Finally no matter what you do. NEVER WAKE THE HIVE. Seriously. At an extraction point never give anyone anything to cause them to shoot. A single Explosive Kit and Grenade will kill everyone extracting their stuff..... they will not be happy and you will be rogue. I've watched mobs of brawl it out for hours because of what one guy did at an EP.

If the envoy manages to make it to the capital, it will likely be a few days until a decision is met.
It would be interesting if the envoy decided to make a stop to rest at Kalimat's place.
Especially if they had slaves with them. (Which laws vary from place to place. Basically, it ends up being the decision of whoever is over you. Kalimat happens to be against slaves, so travelling with slaves would bring up conflict. Conflict is good for story though.)
Also, once Spade is confirmed over on Fex, I'll begin working a bit hard to further the progress done in Fex.
