Vahzzians were scientists and miners, messing with all kinds of ore, creating an agriculture of ore veins and mines around their homes. Came into contact with a large batch of Arkonor one day and being the douchey little scientists they are and not knowing what it really is, decided to conduct experiments, corroding the chemical breakdown of the ore, causing the isotopes to become unstable, radiation starts seeping out, they decide to break free from the plague, get caught, die a horrible death, the corpses soak up the immense amounts of radiation and thus the Hunger is born.

I got 'Assassination attempt fails.'
I was using This by the way.
Did one for Vash too and, no joke, I got 'Child Labour' though that was just for ***** and giggles.

Thinking of a cool name for currency. Pound could be used as a term for Tal Money. The Tal-Man using pounds of silver and gold is not a hard concept. Over time the realization that lugging pounds of gold and silver they traded in with local banking groups in exchange for paper that said it could be redeemed for X pounds at any official chartered bank.

Mur use Yul (U-el) as their primary currency.
Yul are chips of precious gem stones encased in glass and set into the frame of a shell. The shells themselves actually serve no value other than as a mount for the gems to denote their worth by increasing size. Many Mur trade without the shells as they consider it a disgraceful waste when many human merchants toss away the shells as worthless baubles.
Mur do not become violent particularly easily but Kal'm had to deal with several such charges of assault when the Mur first arrived in Burtgun.

If it helps I got mine from the idea that people may cut off a chunk of a precious metal to trade for other goods. Over time the cuts became a more standard size for ease of use and then progressed into a more traditional currency.
How about sparklies? Slave Purchasers? Crystals? I dunno, I'm throwing crap out.
