Dear players,
Thank you for your feedback. We will now remove and store the official feedback threads. Final numbers will be shared and then translated into Patch Notes when development updates have been finished and QA'd.
Hotfix Bravo has a lot of exciting new things, for both old and new players and to keep our process transparent, I will mention and clarify a couple of things that we, changed, needed to delay or cancel.
Changes to Original Proposal Changes - Reduced damage increase of TAR a little based on feedback Changes - Tweaked some of the Shield modules based on feedback Changes - Tweaked RE's for progression and buffed PRO Changes - Stacking Penalty for Repairer Modules didn't work as intended (only works on % based modules) so reduced HP/s directly Changes - PG for Scramble Rifle only reduced at STD level, due to Amarr slot increase and overall balance Changes - Vehicle Sig profiles can not be tweaked so infantry notices them easier on the minimap
Delays Delay - Increased ISK rewards Delay - Swarm launcher changes - I am not happy with the community consensus and want to keep iterating for a solid compromise. We also found some bugs as well that can have unforeseen consequences when fixed. Lastly, increasing swarm size can affect performance. Delay - WP for mobile CRUS

Why does it seem like CCP is dealing with issues faster after this game was indirectly announced to be shut down eventually? I wish CCP was as involved in the past as they are now. Faster updates for balancing and feedback discussions that CCP actually listens to.

I don't see why you would cut back on the damage increase fo the TAR. It's basically an SCR with less range, less fire rate but more damage per shot.
Your clip size is 18, and it takes 18 shots to overheat an SCR, so no difference there.

Now that bravo is (almost) settled, on to charlie.
Some things that imo you should think about doing along with the delayed stuff:
1: fixing fittings for vehicles, as currently it is horrid
2: making Gal scouts not having to use 3 PROTO damps to hide from a Cal Scout, but 2, as well as making the profile bonus tied to dampeners
3: starting to give skills without bonuses bonuses
4: Giving t I Suits and vehicles bonuses
5: Making the cloak a actual scout tool, not a tool for combat.

true but i am happy that they are moveing ahead plus i think that they will keep this game open when legion (if its greenlighted still havent seen a dev confer it has) comes out as a seperate entity
and overall im happy with these fix's but still wish rail-guns on a gunlogi wud revive bonus for caldari turret on caldari chassis

i agree here good idea cus i use the TAR when i see straffing scout, becouse how unacurite they are the scout straffs right into the bullets (as they fly all over the place without sharp shooter skills)

Because we're beta testing Legion. They want they data so they can use it later. Balancing everything out now saves them time while building Legion. |

Is there something in the pipeline for vehicle tripple rep madrugar, its getting a bit stupid that 3 proto minmando with proto swarms cant do anything. Hopefully, the proficiency will make changes to this but now this tank is actually invincible ! Seen it again today multiple times...

Thanks for taking the TAR buff in moderation rather than doing a single buff of huge magnitude. If it's still bad then I'm sure you can probably just tweak it again.
Actually, that said - I feel that the more useful property on the TAR being tweaked is the damage per shot, rather than the RoF. The kick and dispersion on the weapon make higher fire rates of little use in practice. If it gets touched in the future, I think that's the place to start.
WP for mCRUs will be a thing at some point? I know you said not in Bravo, but that's great! I think that was announced... a year and a half ago? It's good to see some interest in actually doing it.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

Prop Heavy Armor rep rate will be greatly reduces the survival rate of Madrugar. If you undermine reps, you should increase the resist of hardner. or implement the advanced tanks.

By this do you mean running damps cuts your scans?
Because I was thinking cutting scans in half while cloaked would be a good way to slow down scan/damp combat abuse, also helping to reduce the cloak's combat effectiveness.

Finally the damage mods are getting a well deserved nerf but what I wanna know is will you be limited to one per fit or will they still be able to stack because I believe it would be better off making it limited to one.
As for the armor rep mods those were decent numbers for them on the spreadsheet however with their nerf I think it would be fair to also bring down the pg and cpu of the modules just a bit.

The progression for the scrambler rifle is now insane. 20 pg is fine for proto, but making advanced more than twice the pg of standard is kinda silly.
Thank you for changes to regulators though and the Plasma Cannon delay (FINALLY) and the additional low slot for Amarr Assault and the militia weapons
These hotfixes are what Dust needs right now. I'm glad that they are coming out so fast.

I actually disagree on this. I kinda like that they all overheat at the same rate but have a higher damage multiplier. That way your mental inner timer that says "stop firing... Now" is always the same but you can do more damage. Plus, the viziam would start eating up ammo like crazy!

68 entries on the last SDE for 'Assault Rifle' going from item names to descriptions to skill entries, if the change was only needed there it would be relatively easy, but there could be more obscure code that references to the NAME instead of typeIDs.
Changing the name in the database without testing it could break more than it's worth, now with the shortage of hands there might not be someone with the required expertise on board to make the changes if it entails tweaking in places other than the database.
Also time might be a factor, meaningful hotfixes are coming at a rapid pace for now I agree with Rattati that it's more important, this from a supporter of the name Plasma Rifle.

Wrong Suit Colors!!! Boy is that a freaking understatement!!! Why the hell are Logi's YELLOW, and assault WHITE!!!! These have to be the worst choices for camouflage in the entirety of the universe of colors for an FPS (unless you are in a snowy winter setting which NONE of you maps represent). |

I have to agree here. Right now I don't use a cloaking device on my scout only. I use it on my Commando, on my Assault, and on my Logi suits all the damned time now. It's the only way to cross open areas and not get nailed by snipers, rail tanks, and rail rifles. It also makes it less likely that a stupid shotgun scout will start to tail you as well. Seriously, cloak with anything that can fit one becomes the norm now.

as for swarm vs plasma cannon.. make swarm Level 4 light and plasma level 3 light. this way the differance is dps makes sence and you get the dumb fire weapon at 3 and the lockon at 4.

I would say complex extenders need a slight buff. - But it doesnt have to be HP, it could easily be a reduction of PG to about 8/9 or dropping the added delay by a percentage point or two (cant remember the numbers atm)

ok first the thale tar sniper rifle you are talking about most snipers using it over the charge due to the scope and the high pitch ear spiltting noise the charge makes make it a low pitch one would help a lot. plus all the armor buffs have made it where 3-5 body shots just tpo take out a logi or an assult & 3-4 on scouts and 5-8 on heavies for all but the charge and thale. I can live with all the damage but fix the HIT DETECTION I have shot and know I should hit the red who was standing still I had the body shot on open ground but he was undamaged after 5 shots with my ish proto sr. do the math 229 damage on a ishukone proto sr with lets say no damage mods or prof against a level 1 amarr sentinel dropsuit core maxed & no extra shield or armor so here is the suit 360 to 450 shield 600 to 750 armor. first shot will be a headshot to be fair 229 x 175% for shield headshot that is 400 damage to shield so 50 shield and 750 now since the heavy was hit he moves so body shots now so next one 229x90% ok equals 206 but there is only 50 shield so the 156 gets a boost to 110% 171 armor damage so after the first headshot and 1 body shot he has 579 armor left now and body shot 229x110% is 252 so that leaves the heavy with 327 armor so it will take 2 more body shots to kill him. 229x110% is 252 that is one 75 armor left and final shot 229x110% is 252 against 75 armor equals dead heavy. so 5 full shots 1 being a head shot. but most heavies have 800 to 1100 armor plus with the reps bonus lol meants it will take in to your second clip to kill him oh btw you only have 5 shot clip and 20 extra rounds to start with. that why most use the thale tar. people are complaining about the thale but lately I have seem about 15-25 kills with it and non thale or charge sr get 5 to 15 kills. if the thale kills are too high I get downing the damage but the charge should as well while the others sr get alittle buff like from 229 to 250 for ishukone proto sr and kaal tact sr go from 195 to 210 damage plus better zoom on sr non tacts ones though. ccp rattati havbe you ever sniped in dust? try it on an blank account so people do not know it is you and tell me should the sr be where they are? |

The list in the OP is not comprehensive, it is a changelist to the original proposals. Reppers have new proposals in the Numbers doc.

I dont want more missiles, i dont want a bigger clip, what i want is that my swarms actually put a dent into a militia dropship. That is the bug I mentioned, as well as proficiency skills not applying properly. The 55% was never intended and will get fixed after being QA'd as I am not treating that as a "balancing" tweak.

By armour tanked, do you simply mean armour based dropships or plating? I understand the issue with the resistance bug, but you really can't tank a dropship... you can get 4200+ armour, but you won't be able to fit a rep or a decent one at least, and you will be pathetically slow, very slow. Don't know too many people that are willing to rep at 25 per second with that much armour. The most that people ever put on is a basic or adv 120mm plate, with a decent rep, and complex pg extender. Never had reason to run hardeners for dropships ever since they were nerfed, as a plate proved more substantial and life saving. |

AR will be supreme in cqc but i feel it range is far too generous. gallente plasma tech should really be micro scale blaster tech. the same tech theyd use for their ships. but gallente blasterss in eve have the absolute worst possible range. they have crazy firepower to make up for that though.
caldari on the other hand have the worst dps in eve with railguns but the best possible range.
to illustrate my point, a gallente T2 neutron blaster has an optimal range of 1.8km (no skills) this is their longest range blaster
a caldari T2 75mm railgun has an optimal range of 7.2km (no skills) and thats their shortest range railgun. their longest range railgun is 14.4km (no skills)
here in dust though, AR's optimal range will be around 50m while RR's will be around 75m.

And that was the magic and charm in a bottle that made this game so addicting as you mixed that with persistence and continued development.
Something must be done as a big demographic of DUST 514 players seek Competency in their gameplay, and now that the concept of persistence is dead the meaningful moment to moment gameplay that DUST needs to thrive needs more attention then anything. |

What's the DPS comparison of those two turrets? Does the railgun deal 90% of the blaster's damage at that range? No? Then the situations are clearly not directly comparable.

Please keep vehicles out of ALL Ambush modes Rattati, they do not belong in this mode. It's bad enough having to fight against q-synced squads by yourself, having ANY vehicles in ambush period just ruins the infantry experience.
I humbly request that all Ambush modes be infantry only, please, most tankers ruin the fun in Ambush(they will abuse the most scrubby tactics, always will), having ALL Ambush modes Infantry only would make DUST very enticing to play again.
As of now, I find it very tiring to have to pull out tanks in Ambush at all. I just want to heal people, and without having to find a squad, an infantry only mode would make DUST very very fun again.

I'm going to renew my request for a market and remind you that it will put veterans out of newbie zones and allow REAL balancing to start. Also, a lot of players want quests and I'm almost more than 100% sure that could be handled by volunteers like in eve instead of devoting dev man hours to it. Also, people cry min assault is dead until hey find out its a grenadier(which was intentionally killed in 1.2 and killed again even more recently)... I'd like to see med nades and flaylock revived, but I'd like to point out again that until item trade is realized and veterans are pushed out of pubs and into a viable FW to live in low sec(viable FW means player trade) I can't help but wonder why you're wasting time on the same quick fix bandaid "balancing" you've been trying to force feed us for the past year or so? While at the cost of story too?! This is asinine, you aren't addressing the real problems you're just taking advantage of that the average player is an idiot with an attention span too short to realize that no problems in the development pipeline are truly being addressed! |
