I use nova knifes with assaults and scouts, its a cheap CPU and PG cost melee weapon that gives you 200 melee damage if you don't charge, but you hit them twice so its 400. And I use proto sidearm dmg mods with prof 3

Tanking is now harder to do. You need to play more defensively sometimes in matches for a higher survival rate. Playing offensively is just more risky now. That's my experience in my militia tanks.

it is probably effective range at 50m. (30% dmg at 50m) and 100% dmg at roughly 35m (optimal range). What was your total dmg received from HMG player? It should have told you in the kill screen. Perhaps you had a second person firing at you.
