I think the real key is to have as many tools available to beat the enemy as is possible. Most of the vital skills effect you in every suit/vehicle with every weapon. Once you've got these skills maxed, the investment into HAV/Dropship/protosuits ...

Played MAG on Valor for KEQ but don't really wish to give out my PSN on here. I've got crimson on my flist, so it'll be good to play with some of the Sver groups.

Oh and shields are BS, because somewhere you need a shield generator. That has to be mounted somewhere. The mounting points will take the force of the impact eventually being destroyed. It's why in Scifi they're often underground. Well, that's my ...

Mamaj, once grouping comes in things will be fine. You've got a decent crew to roll with, and I might come along for a while too. Don't worry until next build.

Quote: Mechanics in this game are important, but is anyone really arguing over hit detection and better controls? I don't think so. And we've got veteran elite fps'ers giving different answers as to how strafy and fast they want the game to be...

Garr, Firstly, just keep in mind that like noc & I say, once serious groups of heavies start rolling about Logi's will be much improved Second, a medic is always going to suck in TDM. Thirdly, I'm going to QQ Soooo damn hard when Sha Kharn c...

Best thing I've found is Black Prophecy (shameless plug for a quality game) dead developers and gamigo are letting it die. But it's a laugh, and PvP is awesome (3rd person can is very useful). New people join up a lot, but rage quit. They actualy ...

Because the console crowd are not happy with the state of the game. We have no love for CCP and were not welcomed very nicely upon arrival to the forums (those that bothered). EvE players could have vested interests in Dust. I'd imagine we'll see ...

FPS skill is a huge factor. SP just tips the scales. Higher lvl gear tips it a bit more. I've given up worrying about the gap. I'll get levelled. Get my gear. And hang out with people who have done the same. And grow my snobbery to match my epeen....

Noc has it right. Gar, you can't provide all the logistics for 3 heavies as Assaut. The first 3 corp builds will probably be mech, assault, and heavy/Logi. I look forward to finding out which hybrid of these will prove strongest.

So, we're agreed that tanks will be common, good corps will need a very solid base of infantry, and that any player who doesn't multitask, is a rather limited/useless investment. Hives, uplinks, repair tools and RE are important tools just like ta...

I stand by my point. Logi's are for support of heavies. A decent Logi can drop a Nanohive for each heavy. He can repair any heavy in need of attention. He can drop an uplink or 2. And leave an explosive at the objective. The 3 heavies can't suppor...

Agreed. I remember redlining the enemy after 3 minutes. Chucked down a hive, shot a few people with my rifle. Went 6/2 , but got loads of SP because I dropped 2 hives at the redline. Everyone else (8 or so people, used my nano's for about 15 minut...

@Dominus I agree completely about Prototype gear. I'd say it's less of a crutch, more of a walking stick. It wont give you the huge ehp, or damage like a vehicle, but it sure helps against those poor militia dudes. Yeah, definitely like having a b...

Yeah, it was more for testin purposes. I went through 200 Proto suits never switching down. First 100 I made profit of about 2 mil. Second time I had that disaster game (15-17, tough times). Loss of 500k overall. I started switching suit again aft...
