Okay, ran some numbers today and did some play tests. Missile turrets are clearly the favored turret to use but why? Because they are the only small turret that isn't broken. Small missile turret: Direct damage 455, splash 357.5 over 2.5 meters....

I tested this out a little bit. I called in an LAV with a rail turret, I have level III in extra ammo and my buddy level I. The result: It takes whomever has the higher bonus, it does not stack.

The problem is the overheat actually. If they removed the overheat from blasters and railguns that would solve a lot of problems because currently I can't only ever expend half of my clip, which usually puts a shield tank down to about 1/5 shields...
