He does make a point that for everything but logi's most of the stats, slots stay the same. The big difference is with specializations you get actual bonuses per level. Maybe that is what ccp wants, no idea.

Its not the lack of other content (new weapons), the game that had some balance was broken, fiting all screwed up, turrets not being able to shoot at different elevations. The patch is all flash, the core game has been hit with a hammer.
