If you hold the trigger but die before you throw the grenade there is no explosion... It's notably impossible to happen in real life. It would be nice to be able to kamikaze easier... |

No. Nobody wants random scrubs blowing up after you've killed them. This is not CoD. |

if you prime the nade before going down then you basically let go of it on/near death and should explode. |

+1 YES. It's bad enough that grenades have a 3 minute fuse on them. |

actually that perk works on its own and has nothing from the player. if you die while holding a nade is duds out, that's what is in question |

I kinda have to agree with the OP. Why does a grenade dud when the owner dies? I could see, maybe, if they're holding it due to some proximity IFF identifier (so if the guy next to me gets shot down while cooking a grenade it doesn't kill me too) but once it's thrown then it should explode once its fuse runs out.
DUST doesn't instant throw grenades like other FPS games, it takes a second or two, so it's not going to cause everyone to throw a "from the grave" grenade.
But it does suck when I cook a grenade and hurl it at a group of Assaults only to be shot down 0.5 seconds before it hits them so it turns yellow and doesn't explode. That's crap in my opinion.

Support the idea that it works only if you pull the pin

Would make sense, if you couldn't blow yourself up for holding the grenade in your hand too long.
Also, I support this entirely. Might give a slight chance to those guys being camped at their spawn. Spawn camping is lame enough as it is. No matter how legit it is. Still a buzz kill. |

You're right, it wouldn't be martyrdom, since you don't die doing it. You just lose a clone. :p
There is absolutely no valid reason why we shouldn't be able to do it in this game. But go ahead, prove me wrong. Give me ONE good reason why this would be a bad idea. |

In addition nades tossed before death should still detonate rather than turn neutral (that lovely shade of yellow) and fail to explode more often than not |

The scrubs are the ones enjoying themselves spawncamping in DUST then arguing against a VALID point while taking shots at games that have proven SUCCESSFUL in the genre.
The ONLY reason that some gimp would argue against a grenade blowing up after the pin was pulled is because they know it would affect their hooker tactics.
Then the geeks will scream to not 'nerf' the game when in fact, something like the nade not blowing up just cuz you got killed is the essence of nerf.
That's why we all see the fanboys' aggression toward ideas that would actually make the game better. Because they like stupid stuff the way it is so they can continue to spawn camp and try to grief the noobs. DUST is nerf at this point. Chicken-head fanboys want it that way because they can't hang in the big leagues. |

Roflmao. No....Hell no. My question is to the folks that argue the grenades not going off, what will your opinion be in friendly fire matches? If you still don't want the nades to explode , you like it ''nerf''.
Fuses are so long, they take so long to throw, and most people running decent shield and armor gear can take the hit if they're dumb enough to have to worry about it. We'll see how the grenade mechanics might change coming up.
I think, and most people who want a WAR-type experience will probably agree unless they're chicken ----, that once the pin is pulled it should go kablooey.
For pete's sake, one can cook one until it blows up, why on earth would it not blow up once the chef is shot? Just dumb. |

What is the incentive to cook a grenade when getting shot down renders it null. Who wants to risk cooking one? Why not just reload or whatever the situation calls for?
Why even have the option to cook one if the GD thing is just a dud? |

the other day i was able to detonate a remote explosive after death killing someone. don't know why you wouldn't be able to do the same with a grenade. |
