Are you using damage mods? I've read that tank damage mods give 2x the bonus they should give: the 10% is giving 20% That could be the problem.

Best way to stop people from afking is to change the SP reward to make afking not worth it. Currently we get 5sp/second + 1sp/wp, change it to 2sp/sec + 4sp/wp and the sfking will be greatly reduced.

Why would you prefer a Planetary a planetary strike ship over a destroyer for a tactical strike? Frigates have a maximum of 3 guns (4 in rare cases but those are T2 and NOT cheap), destroyer have 8 and they are not that expensive.
