361. We need 'Personal' nanos: noob nad spam - in General Discussions [original thread]
What you need is a logi friend with high end hives or, after the nerf, a friend who runs caldari logi. Those things can be very hard to burn out.

362. CCP has introduced militia versions of all weapons - in General Discussions [original thread]
For a new player I think the isk for the skill book is the biggest limiting factor. Sure you can just run a couple matches to get the SP, but without the SP and gear needed to get high up on the scoreboard you might struggle to get the book. Subdr...

363. So CCP has no way to internally test anything - in General Discussions [original thread]
Nothing like a good ol' Heisenbug. One that only occurs when you're not looking for it. It is possible to fix bugs that can't be reliably reproduced, but it chews up a ton of development time. At that point it comes down to tradeoffs, do I fix sev...

364. So CCP has no way to internally test anything - in General Discussions [original thread]
They're really not helpful at all until you can observe the problem happening. Quite often a "bug" isn't actually a bug, but a problem with the user's environment. I could start my debugger and run through the app all day long. If I did run into t...

368. So CCP has no way to internally test anything - in General Discussions [original thread]
Dev tools don't actually help you reproduce a problem. They help you once you've reproduced the problem and let you start to zero in on what is actually causing it. I've been a developer for 8 years now, mostly in healthcare which, as you can imag...

369. Feel Like Trying EVE Online? - in The Locker Room [original thread]
Pvping for profit is a thing, it's called suicide ganking. The most well known version is where people scan the cargo of freighters and find some dude who is carrying a load that is far too valuable. Then they catch him coming through a gate with ...

370. let's talk dust:how many of the 'original' corps are left? - in General Discussions [original thread]
Heh I think our corp was technically formed before closed beta started. We created the corp on tranquility around the time that it was announced Dust would be a thing, then transferred control as soon as we were able to get Dust players into it.

371. Take A Picture of a Support Logi - in General Discussions [original thread]
A logi is a lot slower than an assault if you take into account how far they can run. Maybe you can run at the same speed as Usain Bolt, but if you only make it 10 feet before you're bent over with your hands on your knees you can't claim to be al...

Cloaks in eve are in the electronics skill group, so I'd expect to find it in the dropsuit upgrades tree either on the same tier as hacking, or next to profile dampening and the like.

373. My Turn to Pass Judgement on the Singularity Leak - in General Discussions [original thread]
Something I feel that should be pointed out with the idea of making the Gallente the "masters" at ewar, is that each race is a master at their own kind of ewar. The Gallente are best with sensor dampers, the Caldari at ECM, the Minmatar with targe...

It is pretty hilarious how many points you can get from uplinks with a totally disorganized team, especially if you get out a couple proto ones in safeish spots. Blueberries hit those things like a rented mule. Many builds ago I was in a match wh...
