Really because I don't see the issue.
Smart AVers hit us when our actives are down or use AV en masse to breach our resistances with ease. Other players simply attempt to make rail gun fits with damage modules to Snipe us, others smap 3 MLT tank and typically attempt to overwhelm us.
Ballsier AV use stealth and Remote Explosives to destroy us.
How can you not get it through your head that it takes some modicum of skill to destroy HAV now, in fact no it really doesn't.
I don't really get this QQ I was doing better with 1.6 HAV than I am now with these current HAV, which despite my drop in efficiency I am enjoying far more because some of the handling, module activation glitches, and such have been reworked, not to mention enjoying the new Tank Vs Tank that has popped up recently.
Used to only see 1 vs 1 duels per game, now 3-4 tanks will be going at it across the map trying to hunt one another.
I do think tanks need an ISK increase on the hulls, turrets are finally at a good place. And we need a slight blaster tracking nerf, maybe even a little AV buff, but to no more than they sat last patch.
To a Texan like you, a hero is some type of weird sandwich, not some nut who takes on three Gunlogi.

SenatorSnipe was my great fear in the old FW scene, him and Cyrius just seemed to have AV down pat whenever they saw I was on the other team....they are a nasty team.

I'm speccing Forge now, because I managed to take out Sikitank with a Basic one.
One more level away from the Assault Forge.

Have you ever cycled shield hardeners against AV and been popped, through your hardeners? I think I might've lost 1 HAV while it was permahardened. Most of my deaths occur in the few gaps between hardeners I have, but once I max my core skills I'll be able to cycle them indefinitely.

I have tried to take our a Shield Tank with a Rail and Proto Blaster before and found no purchase with my only course to be to run away. However I have come back with a friendly rail tank to pop that Shield tanker.
Perhaps since I don't run shield tanks I don't see that issue so much, however that only perhaps highlights that the fitting requirements are too low for shield hardeners.

Tanks really seem to be in a similar spot to where they were early in closed beta, when I'd take my surya and drive full speed around the map doing drive-by railgun killings. It's not quite that bad, but they're pretty much impossible to kill with just infantry. If you *do* mass up AV to kill one pesky tank, then your squad is moments away from getting rolled by the combat / rail rifle users, and the tank you killed will be back in action in 60 seconds because hey, what's 80k isk when you're nearly invincible in it?
There's not much point in even trying to kill tanks. Even getting them with orbitals is near impossible since they move so fast. |

If enemy tanks did not exist and I maxed my core skills, I sincerely doubt I would lose more than a couple HAVs a week. AV is either underpowered or shield tanks or overpowered. I need some more SP, but I should be able to permanently run hardeners while having 3 ADV Blaster turrets to ferry people around in and deal up to 2100 DPS to other tanks; more than a double amped prototype Railgun in damage. Still have room for +60% ammo for those small blasters, which chew through the stuff. Total cost is probably around 300k. Right now I'm using a light version, which is inferior in several aspects and so long as another tank doesn't come through and I don't make a bonehead move (I do all the time) I'm practically immortal. I've camped whole squads of AV that are spawning on a roof firing Forges and Swarms at me.
Really, pretty much all of my deaths (which are, admittedly a fair amount, due to my inferior fit and skills) are when my hardeners drop or to railguns. Basically, with maxed core skills, either drop my shields in one blow when I deploy, punch through them with a rail tank or swarm me with multiple enemy tanks. The only one of these that is viable for non-tankers is hitting me as I deploy. They can deploy a force of militia tanks behind their redline, but when there's 5 of me, preferably one with a railgun thrown into the mix? Good luck.

Yeah their not op at all honestly...Me and a buddy from scouts united busted three just this morning. A soma, a madrugger and a gunnlogi. In three games. They didnt bother bringing out more. Tank never got a shot on us and we ohked them with teamwork.
They arent op, you guys just try and fight them directly.

The reason tanks seem OP is because you have been nerfed, by youself. Your tears have started to rust the plates on your suit, slowing movement down, the wiring has suffered water damage, the salt in your tears help speed up the erosion.

Plus , Blaster turrets then need a big NERF of efficiency vs other Vehicles.As it is they are 100% effective vs everything and this should not be.
Missile Turrets might be ''anti both'' but has a certain BALANCE with high reload time and not very PRECISE vs infantry, thing the Blaster DOES have.

Use teamwork like a good infantry and you won't run into OP Tanks. Tanks are supposed to be a shock and awe weapon. They are meant to demoralize the weak and uncoordinated. In other words, they are functioning perfectly. Are you? |

I like tots agree but it take proto av to scare milita tank, currently like the best way to kill tanks is with a milita rail with 2dmg mods not any of the proto av...... tldr; "and didn't want to write" ; tanks are too good against infantry and other tanks while infantry av options are pretty low |

bro Im not too salty about the tank buff/changes they were needed but to say that av is fine is just stupid I mean look at the plasma cannon......... av needs to be like a constant fear of tankers they should be more afraid of av then other tanks imo |

They are all in denial that they are OP. They think that they suddenly have k/d ratio's of 20 to 1 because of the superior "skill," that they acquired with 1.7. It would be amusing if it weren't so sad.
