262. Socket context - in Feedback/Requests [original thread]
I was reading the artist spotlight that was posted today and saw some sketches of this: http://web.ccpgamescdn.com/dust/news.control/65803/1/3.jpg Where it was referred to as a satellite launcher. Until now I've never had a clue what this thing...

263. The Caldari should be allied with the Minmatar... - in General Discussions [original thread]
Realistically the Minmatar are heavily under the influence of the Gallente, which has been a real source of conflict between the Minmatar and Gallente. The Gallente are just as culturally imperialist toward them as they were toward the Caldari bac...

264. AI opponents - in General Discussions [original thread]
Why add AIs to FW? Because FW is the empires fighting a war against each other. We're mercenaries in that conflict, not the regular forces. We're there to tip the odds. Also because it makes you look and feel like the superhuman you are.

266. closed beta vets, lets talk about the good old days. - in General Discussions [original thread]
Remember how much SP we got per match back then? I realized it was so that we could fully test the skill tree, but it was so disappointing when it was cut down to current levels.

267. AI opponents - in General Discussions [original thread]
AI soldiers is something I've always felt would improve the sense of immersion. In particular with driving home the idea that we're genetically engineered super-soldiers. There's currently no frame of reference to show how we're carrying weapons s...

268. Tired of beign a logibro - in General Discussions [original thread]
I kinda like being the only person placing uplinks in a domination, especially if I'm playing with someone who can fly a dropship. It typically means I'll be near the top of the leaderboard without firing a shot, and with my proto uplinks I don't ...

271. Well, this is disturbing to say the least - in General Discussions [original thread]
"The raw amounts of ISK floating around EVE and generated at such high quantities would offset so much point in DUST it would ruin the game for some" I've heard before that there's actually more isk in the Dust economy than in Eve, which isn't en...

Everyone saying "there is no economy" is missing the point. The economy is there, we just can't influence it yet. When the influx of isk is completely out of whack with the outflows then that creates a big problem when trying to put the economy in...

They could figure out how much was saved because they have a log of every death and what items were on the suit. Blueprint items are marked as such, so they just need to tally up the number of items lost and use the isk value of the equivalent ite...

275. Well, this is disturbing to say the least - in General Discussions [original thread]
It makes sense to me, most of the time in pubs I'm running fits that use a lot of BPOs and cost 11,000 isk or less. I make around the same amount of isk from those matches as ones where I spend 50k per suit, which means I'm making around 150k more...

One big reason this can't be done, once the player market is in place it won't be possible to calculate "the cost" for a particular suit. Only what you paid for it. Someone else running the same suit may have paid more or less. When our gear start...

Probably Minmatar, though I haven't really been in the habit of using repair tools a lot. Most of the time I find the people in my squad die before I can get a chance to repair them, or someone else has already repaired them. But if I've got the b...

280. PC Revamp - in General Discussions [original thread]
Getting rid of timers would just turn PC into an even bigger chore than it is now. The result of that would be locking a huge portion of the playerbase out of PC entirely. We really do just need more land. They intentionally made the first PC regi...
