 Because we need to.

I remember the time when I first started playing this game, and oh boy did u suck at the time. The fact that I couldn't tell frirndly from foe also made quite difficult to kill anything. Player markers hovering off my FOV was so annoying, but it eventually helped my with my aim because I needed to be sure my cross hairs were red before firing.

When I eventually achieved my proto suit, I brick tanked that thing ling before it was cool. Complex extenders, and complex armor plates. I later found out that stacking so many plates was not a good idea at the time, and eventually switched most of them out for repair mods.

Blue berries seemed smarter back then too... although I guess most of those blues were us at that time. You can really notice that mentality difference from the blues back then, and the ones have now.

I was to scared to use the BPO gear cause I didn't know if I would lose it or not.

Also, I remember when it only made sense to shield tank with a few regulators. I still stacked plates and reps xD

Remember how much SP we got per match back then? I realized it was so that we could fully test the skill tree, but it was so disappointing when it was cut down to current levels.

I remember the god of weapons, Creodron Breach AR; when it had 56 (I believe) round mag doing a base damage of 67. Killing everything including tanks with it. Then we have the free firing swarms, soooo much fun and lolz doing that. When AR's actually had a scope/camera.

Points where heavys we OP as well; then we had untargetable scouts b/c of strafe speed and hit detection.

We also had Black Ops Tanks; that didn't work of of course, but we had them. So many other fun memories

 Ahhh, the good old days

I'm not sure I want to talk about the good old days. Hell, I'm not even sure if we should call it the good old days unless you mean it in a sarcastic way.

 1. Playing Line Harvest over and over and over and over and over...
 2. No way to communicate outside of the match.
 3. Forming independent squads and corps didn't exist.
 4. The suicide swarm launchers.
 5. Manus Peak "bowl" map with all the OP laser rifles (they were OP at the time) making it look like a lethal discotheque.
 6. Bad Furry.
1b. ...and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...
 7. Predictable spawn points.
 8. Default spawn area had NO redline for safe spawning (THE HORROR!).
 9. OP Heavies with their OP HMG (OP at the time).
 10. OP flay locks!
 11. OP Mass Drivers!
 12. Having to restart my PS3 one every two matches.
1c. ...and over and over and over and over and over and over...
 13. The dance of death that lasted for so long in a 1v1 encounter that both sides literally run out of bullets before they resorted to meleeing each other.

I can go on all day.

I'd always look for the highest mountain and see if I could drive off it, dumb stuff like that. I remember my high anticipation for Dust was shattered when I got the beta week 1, and comms weren't even a thing! I'd just sit in turrets shooting the MCC getting +75.

 Good bloody times.

I miss the occasional bug where you could hear the enemy team and I would just laugh and laugh at their cries for mercy or have a conversation with a guy I would have duels with

heck I even miss the original turrets, CRUs, and supply depots
