An extraction mode doesn't make much sense when our minds are immortal, just copy/pasted on new bodies all the time. There would not be any real reason for an extraction.

Are you by any chance one of those people who never went to your settings, adjusted brightness, sensitivity, screen scale, etc? I have no problems even with the darkest lighting, I think your brightness may just be too low.
