They hit the daily SP cap (also seriously consider the SP rollback idea). They hit the repair tool WP cap.
These things can be very confusing to new players who don't know why they suddenly stop gaining WP or SP. Players should always be informed when hitting some sort of limit. |

I'm surprised CCP hasn't done something like track how fast the average player hits the repair tool point limit and how many rewarded ticks go beyond that. If they did they could reduce the amount of points per tick so the rewards were more consistent. Like 10 points instead of 25 per tick.
The same for SP. If they kept the weekly SP cap system and put a lower max SP cap per mission it would have taken the average player longer than 2-3 days to reach the cap and problem solved.
I'm not sure what the advantage of having a notice would have:
"You have hit your repair reward cap. Stop healing your team mate." "You have hit your SP cap. Quit out of this match." |

Yes, there needs to be feedback for this kind of thing. |

I thought codex had a notification when cap was reached ? Never got to see it myself as i never reached the 0 SP thing. But good idea. Players should receive a mail, at least the first time, with a decent, fitted with the game background, explanation for why they dont receive sp or wp no more.
This will prevent something like 10-15 daily thread when open beta lands. |

The lack of information and notifications for a game like this is disturbing. |

To those of you who are reading this thread and don't know what the cap for active SP is, its 27.2k without a booster. |

It would be really helpful to know how close to the cap you are (even knowing that a cap is there in the first place!) I was going nuts when this happened the first time because I saw my SP increase drop to 50+25 (boost) after my PS3 crashed during a previous game and thought I was being hit with a "leaver penalty" or something. |

Damn bro, your on the player learning curve today eh?
Yep, for the reps there should be like a WP cool down timer in say top right of screen, like an eve combat timer. |

I completely agree, many time friends that skip rewarding screen ask them self same question "Did I hit the cap?". |

+1
While we're on the subject of notifications: the notification feed in the top right corner needs to be changed into something more player friendly. I remember seeing a larger yellow popup when an orbital strike was ready, but that got moved into the notifications feed, which is even easier to miss than the kill-feed.
Speaking of which: Popups are fine when they're related to what you are doing. If I order a vehicle, a popup with a countdown and confirmation of my request would be fine. If I am made SC, a brief popup telling me so would help. If I have OMS ready, a popup telling me so is just peachy. As long as none of them repeatedly pop up until I use them, it's fine. And we don't need popups for what other people are doing in most cases unless it is directly affecting us (for example, a medic should be able to ping you back confirming your request for aid in the form of a popup).
An example of how the repair tool could display if using it is awarding WP would be a light on the model that toggles between Green and Red.
