For those that don't want to watch:
- UI Imrovements
- Weapon range system improvements
- New dropsuit roles - Pilot (vehicle bonus) & Commando ("dual heavy weapon weilding medium", not sure what is meant by this, 18:18)
- Two new terrian texture sets
- Engine performance upgrades
- "Rapid Fire Updates" - *MOST LIKELY* once a month iterations ("these are not bug fixes, these are enhancements to the game")
- Welcome screen added
- "Daily Bonus"
- Progression updates (mail alerts, corp battles, etc. upon login)
- New battle finder screen
- Matchmaking - Greater focus on team balance (gear as a criteria)
- Prioritize matchmaking with friends
- New vehicle roles ("Destroyers" were given as one example - anti-air HAV with faster tracking / RoF)
- New Infrastructure (Research, Production)
As stated in the video, this is all slated for early July.
Feel free to comment / hate / love / show indifference.

He misspoke on the Commando. It's supposed to be a Dual light weapon wielding Heavy.
You left out the new "Welcome" screen which will give you more context for what happened while logged off. Oh, No, you do have it. Sorry. |

If they are introducing anti-air HAVs then they need to introduce anti-tank aerial assets.

Problem with basing matchmaking on gear is that people don't pub with all their proto gear on unless they are total try-hards.
This means that veterans deploying in their cheap gear will face off against full militias. Besides, how can it be based on gear when we are able to change loadouts at supply depos or mid-spawn?
Has to be based on lifetime WP or SP.

I think "gear" is somewhat short hand for "gear, SP, WP and skill"
Also I really do not mind it when High SP players get on their low SP alts and do well.
The FPS skills of most vets (bunny hop and run around in the open Wheeeee!!!!) really are not very good compared to most FPS players so it is not like new players are getting face stomped when going against alts of vets.
Perhaps in time the skill of vets will improve so it becomes a problem....but at least now it sounds like a good fix for the high SP PUB stomps which are driving new players away. |

There is a general problem with splash damage at the moment, and all splash damage seems to be affected. Fought Lordchaos last night. He doesn't seem to have a problem using the flaylock....he just hits you with every shot and does not seem to care about splash damage. There are high skill (real skill not SP) high pay off weapons in this game. Let them stay high skill high pay off.
I wasn't disputing the direct damage. MD has direct damage too. That's not the problem with it though. Flaylock has the same splash issues.

How did I know they'd add more AV before fixing Drop-ships or adding a useful air role?
That's just what we needed, lol. "Destroyers".
We already have those, they're called Rail Tanks. They can two the highest EHP DS out of the sky from a mile back in red line while you're behind your own MCC.

Well, they're doing contortions to avoid adding new air vehicles. Just rehashing the same skin in different unintended roles to satiate the few pilots still around.

I know it's hard to comprehend, but maybe CCP thought of this. Perhaps, what they mean by "gear is a factor" that they take the average meta value or isk value of the suits you've used in the recent past to help with matchmaking. That way, a quick switcheroo, won't make much difference.

They're on the way. But not before they nerf DS some more, add some more bugs, increase the percent change of RDV's hitting, add 3 more AV vehicles and buff ground AV a little more.
So, in about a year.

Well I hope it works, right now I thought matchmaking was working a lot better which explains why I am getting killed more. I have a lot of SP (about 12 million) but all the SP in the world doesn't compensate for how much I suck at multplayer FPS games
Now that I have watched the video, I am looking forward to this update, but I still really want to see more of the Eve to Dust connection. I hope it all comes soon and I hope 1.2 works out, I really want this game to succeed

Has to be based on lifetime WP or SP.
So what you're saying is the matchmaking is going to be psychic and know what suits you are going to deploy in after it puts you in said match? That's what it seems like you're saying and quite frankly it's ridiculous; if anything it'll be based on what gear you have in your assets. Still even that's ridiculous because I have a bunch of proto & officer gear I can't use & will never use and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
So I agree (for what it's worth) that it should be based on lifetime WP or SP. |

I think it will be more along the lines of gear will be flagged according to Meta; if you try to equip Meta gear that is to high it will make your fitting invalid.
They would of course have to label the Matches accordingly so players can create proper fittings to be able to enter the matches. |

How are they using 'terrain' now? At the Dust 514 presentation at FF they talked about a snow map, suggesting that it could be unlocked at any time. They also mentioned that they had their iteration of flowers and friends pretty far along.
I'm wondering if the game art issue is that they are designing textures and map assets for PS4, but then back-stepping the resolution/quality for PS3 so they don't end up doing 2x the work later. |

The problem with releasing a list is that people would flood it with "BUT WHAT ABOUT (Insert QQ), GOSH CCP NEVER LISTENS TO THEIR PLAYERS!" And they're trying to avoid that. They have a lot on their plate and a list of priorities; the reason they don't release their list is because there would be outcry about what should come first. They have people in charge that read feedback and decide what needs work. They're human and require time to produce these changes, while the general FPS populace is all about "NOW NOW NOW!" and has very very little knowledge about the quirks of developing a game. |

If it's something like double SP for your first match or three, I'd be quite happy. Cuts down on the grind.
If it's something like "CONGRATULATIONS! TODAY YOU WON 5x MILITIA ARMOR REPAIRERS!" I'm gonna be like... what the devil? Free daily loot + hardened mercenaries = does not compute
Also, here's one naive hope that new Heavy suits will somehow surprise us all by showing up. Pwease CCP? |

As far as SP goes, nothing will top a rolling SP cap. As long as we're capped per time period, if you don't play, you permanently lose out (inless you can find some way to squeeze in an extra 180 games per week you missed).

Bottom line. That's what's dragging their feet.
If you could roll over a months worth of SP (760,000)... you could cap that easily in a week.
Meaning once a month they'll sell a 7-day active booster per (paying) player.
Compared to the 30-day (or even 4 three day) booster(s) that's a big revenue loss.
I'm certain we'll never see the rolling cap. No matter how much we ask for it. |

Whoa guys, I hate to be a downer here but not all of these things are coming in early July. All of this stuff is on the roadmap and is being worked on pretty heavily, but early July will have a certain number of these and not all of them, unfortunately. We're aiming on getting the majority of these out over the coming several months, along with some other items that weren't brought up in the video, but the July update will not contain all of this.
We'll have a dev blog that'll serve as an overview of the July update features which is currently be written that will summarize what will be in Uprising 1.2. You can also watch the linked video as what's coming in 1.2 and what's coming after was discussed a little more specifically. |

anyways here's hoping some nice vehicle roles In addition to the AA tank (he did say it with an s) hopefully a reason to why there would be an AA tank would mean something to counter some new air craft being released or you thought the pilots weren`t going bankrupt fast enough. |

Then you ignore those players. This failure to communicate and have any sort of transparency is a reason to call out CCP. And so what if people complain? Thats the point of the roadmap, to let people know what your working on. If CCP released a roadmap and were workin on a bunch of random crap no one cares about, we could say "hey CCP thats not important!"

CCP has been working on EVE for the past 10 years and they obviously stuck gold it. Will the same formula work for Dust? That's what we're here to find out. This game is really the first of its kind. If you can't be patient and wait for this game to unfold, then come back in a year. No one is keeping you here and it's a pretty safe bet Dust 514 will still be here when all you impatients come back around. As for me, I'm curious and wish to watch it unfold. Sure I'll play other games here and there, but this one's got my interest.

I'm still experiencing the game, but I do see a lot of potential and the will in CCP to get it there. I've played my fair share of games and am rather tired of seeing a game release then 3-5 updates/add-ons and promptly wither in the face of it's sequal. Let's face it: EVE is here to stay. Somebody give this guy a gold star for both not releasing any actual information AND making a promise of a new dev blog.
I appreciate the attempt to stop the hype train, but maybe, just maybe, you guys could put out more information ahead of time to prevent these types of things happening. The presentation from E3 was not terribly clear on what is or is not coming in 1.2, and all it would take is roughly the same amount of time you put into the post you wrote to put together a simple bullet point list of what you guys have ready for 1.2
Instead of promising to give us more info, just give us more info. It shouldn't be that difficult to explain to you guys that this is how the community wants you to work.
The fact that as a company you consistently misread us wanting more info for us wanting more teasers is either a massive troll, or a sign of the complete inability of your team to get their stuff together.
Every time one of these posts gets made, I lose a little more hope that this game will ever be anything other than a could have been type of game. |

id be happyw ith just a list of work in progress features, if theyre going to be releasing MONTHLY content expansions here shortly, whats the difference of a couple months when we know what were going to have within the next 6 months? and if new stuff gets added to the list, or content gets removed, at least we know SOMETHING is happening, and how much is actually going to plan. but as of now, we are only given second hand viewings of trailers and teasers that dont get released anywhere concrete.
maybe if we were given a list of content and a trailer was withheld for 'official' presentations, i could understand, or withholding the precise details of pending feature changes until the nails are all hammered in and its actually confirmed for launch. SOMETHING! just throw us a bone and hype threads like these wouldnt escalate out of control... |

Maybe I just low (I like to think of it as realistic) expectations. Trying to take into account that a "simple fix" is never simple. I work in the military and am familiar with how long it takes to get a working product out from the idea phase to reality. Your not just talking about putting a few more lincoln logs together to make a hut into a house. The process is way more involved than most of these kids even imagine. I would like to see all these "good idea fairies" and deadline complainers make a similar product and then try to tell CCP how to do their job. It just makes me laugh at the unrealistic nature of most of these complaints without any real idea of what they are really talking about or asking for.
And by the long I mean my gaming days aren't going anywhere in the next 50 years. |

Yay! A reasonable poster who is up for a debate rather than toting the company line.
Most of the reason that vets are so frustrated with CCP has been due to lack of clear communication and the innability to fix known problems
Here are a couple instances - As you can see from the DEV post on here, everything they say is cryptic. We never know what is coming until a day or two before it hits. Every fix/nerf/buff is done ninja without any warning and it is usually done to an extreme
- We are told that something has been fixed and then log in to find the same issue - Infinite loading screen is still there - Memory leaks are still there - The hills still have hands
- CCP changes things that dont need changing. You werent around for Chromosome so you will have to take my word for it that aiming was much better than it is now.
I am of the camp that believes that if CCP could just get the basics right, people would be much happier with this game and a little more patient about new content. When you roll up players not being heard, persistent game issues, and CCP constantly speaking in riddles, all you get is an extremely frustrated player base.
You are military so you know that clear communication is key to accomplishing any task. Many of us are asking for a little less PR and a little more communication is all. |

Am I the only one who finds this to be really bad false advertising? Now dont get me wrong, I am not one to play a free game by CCP and then throw kitten in their face and tell them they are a bunch of jackasses. I like the game and will keep playing the game, Its fun. I just think its pretty crappy they are advertising video's for the game that isn't even in the next build, and natrually, they tell the people who play the game and invest money into it, nothing. |

You could also just tell us whats up and whats not. It's not like CCP is paying you anything.
this disinformation tactics of CCP is really busting my balls. Look at SOE and what they are doing with PS2. Not that PS2 is any good or any deeper then the puddel in front of my house, but at least they do communicate with their (potential) Customers. But hey sure CCP knows whats best for us. Best seen with the amingsys which is so great. it's not like communication is KEY to anything nowadays...
And CCP please stop announcing Devblogs and just do them. Have seen 7 Devblogs being annouced in the last month and all I see is that GimbelB thing which 200 ppl watch... I've been at lan-partys with more people. |

Terrible, terrible example...the military industrial complex is quite simply slow, bloated, inefficient and un-innovated. They're all pathetic both public and private...DOD, Navair, USAF, Boeing, Lockheed, Raytheon, etc. What we ultimately get for our money (hundreds of billions) is truely disgraceful. It doesnt work, it cost too much and its obsolete before it enters service. If CCP is performing at this level than Dust truely is doomed... |

I would like some depth added to the game. I have no idea when aiming, hit detection, terrain, frame rate issues are gonna be fixed. It seems that they are tough to crack. So if these things are not happening, CCP should try to add some PVE, some more meaningful corp functions. Right now the motivation to play with corp mates is minimal. Grouping up to pub stomp is annoying since it distorts the game even more. PC has limitations too: not all members in a corp qualify to participate in those depending on corp. So what is there to do when you log in? Random ambush and skirmish are just not that entertaining with the game being its current state (game play is not smooth enough to enjoy it in and of itself). I would like to do something like PVE raids to buff up the corp wallet and bond with corp mates. Or add some none combat functions - things to tinker with if you dont want to fight (like PI in EVE). Or add some storyline with missions. All those things would go far to keep ppl interested. |

This means that veterans deploying in their cheap gear will face off against full militias. Besides, how can it be based on gear when we are able to change loadouts at supply depos or mid-spawn?
Has to be based on lifetime WP or SP.
That's what I was thinking. I use advanced gear, but I put OP stuff like complex shields and damage mods. This will be tragic for those militias... |

Weighted moving average of last 100 fittings (meta or isk, ladies choice) would work just fine.
My better suits average around 23k isk and 3 meta...protobears would play with other 100k+ meta 8 protos.
Thinking more, i vote meta average so as not to unfairly penalize dropship pilots even more. |

Thinking more, i vote meta average so as not to unfairly penalize dropship pilots even more. Preemptive caveat: matchmakimg obviously does not matter in FW or PC, only instantized battles. However FW and PC fits contribute to your average: no sandbagging PC vets masquerading as MLT noobs. |

It's the lack of information, communication and any transparency that CCP and the CPM are using as a poor excuse for community management.
I have seen much worse from other game studios...just not from this one that promises good things like Dev blogs, feedback, & info then fails to deliver.

- UI Imrovements
- Weapon range system improvements
- New dropsuit roles - Pilot (vehicle bonus) & Commando ("dual heavy weapon weilding medium", not sure what is meant by this, 18:18)
- Two new terrian texture sets
- Engine performance upgrades
- "Rapid Fire Updates" - *MOST LIKELY* once a month iterations ("these are not bug fixes, these are enhancements to the game")
- Welcome screen added
- "Daily Bonus"
- Progression updates (mail alerts, corp battles, etc. upon login)
- New battle finder screen
- Matchmaking - Greater focus on team balance (gear as a criteria)
- Prioritize matchmaking with friends
- New vehicle roles ("Destroyers" were given as one example - anti-air HAV with faster tracking / RoF)
- New Infrastructure (Research, Production)
As stated in the video, this is all slated for early July. Feel free to comment / hate / love / show indifference. Edits will be made without warning, conscent, and without remorse. That is a lot of new potentially bugged addons. Tell us, bugs get fixed? Dead gunner dropship bug? Nope. Misfire bug on projectile weapons? Nope Hit detection? Nope, Loading screen disconnects? Nope. Getting stuck on terrain? Possibly? Ninja grenades? Noway. Anyway, enjoy your new bugged content. Seeya
Problems are typically worked on regularly and fix as soon as they can be fixed. Not worked on with the intentions to give them to us as a content patch, So I am not sure why you would expect them to announce any bug fixes. Nor would they delay any fixed issues because bug fixes are not added content. |
