There's a great thread on the EVE forums that offers numerous small suggestions that CCP could use to improve EVE. ( even if it only has 3 dev responses in 56 pages :) )
I would like to suggest creating (and maybe even sticky-ing?) a similar thread for DUST.
I will kick it off by suggesting that the first UI message you receive on boot ("You are about to connect to CCP servers, email asdf with problems") should not block further loading of the game.
As it stands, if I boot the game, then step away for five minutes to get a coffee, I must return to the game and press X to continue loading the game.
Instead, you could attempt to load content in the background, even while the informational message is displayed. |

Put default holographic or red-dot sights on all ARs.
We're running around as clones in sophisticated modified dropsuits for the purpose of face to face battle, and then we're limited to iron-sights when it comes to actually engaging the enemy? Given the futuristic context, it's not only barbaric, but laughable as well.
To add further insult, the SMGs by default have a sophisticated holographic sight. So... you put the long range sight on the short-range weapon while leaving the ARs with only iron-sights? Seriously. Someone cue the Captain Picard face-palm graphic. |

Push O to hack. Push it again to stop hacking.
Requiring us to hold the button down causes lag to cancel the hack, forcing us to start over. Can't tell you how many times I've lost a hack because the hack cancels on itself. |

Customizable Tacnet:
- Allow players to have tacnet alert them when their sights are on a target. For example, if I set my tacnet to alert me when someone is in ADV gear, tacnet will say "Alert, dangerous gear detected". This could be used for dropsuit types (Alert when I aim at type II heavies, Alert when I aim at prototype tanks, etc.)
- Allow different voices for Tacnet. Basic choice - male, female, etc - could be free, while a package of voices - Commander from ME3, the computer that talks to you in Halo, etc - could be bought with AUR.
- Allow Tacnet to greet you when you enter a HAV or Dropship with set (or purchasable) phrases such as "Welcome commander", or "Tacnet Calibrated, all systems go"
Transparent enemy data:
Currently, If you aim into a crowd of people, you can't see any bodies because the text gets in the way. Only one target's information should stand out when sights are on them. Other targets should have information that is more transparent the further away your sights are from them.
Equipment and R3 command UI:
Currently, these two wheels track the movement of the control stick. This leads to selecting commands to the left or right of the one you want because you move your finger as you make your choice. It would be nice if the command wheel was 'sticky' when you select a piece of equipment/command
Update market place:
Allow marketplace ads to populate with guns, weapons and equipment that you buy. For example, if I buy a lot of assault rifles, allow the market place to show more combat orientated items
Boosters and UVT:
Create a two day, three day, four day, five day, and six day UVT and booster options. Allow for an hourly UVT/Booster option that can be either manually or automatically renewed. This would be set to "renew manually" by default, but could be renewed automatically if set.

The damage indicators are pointlessly large, and kind of obstructive. The extra semi-transparent layer inside of the damage indicator circle seems completely unnecessary to me.

Having push to talk on does not allow you to speak during loading screens and death. This should be fixed, or automatically temporarily turn PPT off during loading screens and death. |

Fall damage is excessive, especially considering we are shielded and armored in such powerful suits. Falling down like 2 meters should not do the same damage as a shot of superheated plasma. Decreasing the height needed to activate the inertial dampener would also be nice. |

Anything interactive in either the war barge or merc quarters. I spend way too much time in those two places, and right now the experience is very bland.
Possible ideas:
-Bringing back that tabletop war game from the playstation store interactive place.
-Adding a shooting range, or some kind of shooting thing. Paintball gun to color our quarters would be funny.
-Interactions with other characters in the war barge. Right now all we can do is help them commit suicide through a glitch (this is decently fun), or call out squad orders if we are squad leader. Simple things like running, jumping, hitting people for no damage, or being able to shoot people with an anti-shield weapon that does not damage armor. |

Currently it's needlessly difficult to know when you can do an orbital. |

Need ability to invite people to squads via X context menu in any chat channel.
Need a "Send ISK" command so we can transfer ISK efficiently.
Is there a way I can get that 2nd Dragonfly and Toxin off of my main char onto another one? Meh... asset management and the ability to trade between chars would be nice.
Primary and secondary voice chat channels ... for instance I could have PTT off and be speaking to squad but then set my PTT button to broadcast to entire team. Maybe if someone has PTT turned ON it could be R3+Dpad-Right to access the parent group channel.
Allow "Text Only" list of names in chat channels because dude, it takes way too long to load these lists. And I honestly don't give a crap what avatars look like. I mean could you compress those images or something.
Please FTLOG give me the ability to sell back all the crap that I have bought off the market. Even if you allow sell-back at a 5% loss to illusory NPC orders or something. Doesn't need to have anything to do with EVE economy at this point... just let me reclaim all that ISK that Newberry-me spent.
Fix that bug where I randomly pull up the NEOCOM when I'm trying to aim in battle. |

When running with keyboard and mouse it is difficult to do some actions, and actually impossible to issue squad orders. Please allow better customization of keyboard and mosue button mapping. Thanks for the KBM support, though. It is really quite good already and I can see it being amazing with a little further attention. Some other points related to KBM:
Allow me to map weapons, equipment, vehicle modules to specific keys on the keyboard. Even just the number keys activating vehicle modules would be amazing!
Allow better customization of mouse sensitivity depending on whether aiming down sights or not, crouching or not etc. Please ignore hater comments that rotation speed should be limited. Just allow DS3 users to have higher sensitivity if that's their beef. Limiting the turn speed of a suit is really an unacceptably-jarring mechanic for a FPS. The movement speed, size, signature, strafe speed penalty etc of heavy suits is already adequate.
Also integrate better control mapping for the DS3 and move controllers. I know a lot of people like the move controller in the left hand and mouse in the right hand. It would be cool to also have better support for DS3 in left, mouse in right. I like that already for vehicle operation but it could be even better.
If this game has good enough control mapping support, I could see myself buying a flight stick at some point when more air vehicles are added. Come on CCP, get some branded controllers out there and take my money haha.
Also, where is my cool CCP DUST 514 branded headset? **** better be bluetooth and comfortable as **** for my long gaming sessions. |

The ability to squad without a contacts list and direct from the chat channels..
PTT and voice chat one by default.
In game HUD icons disappear or dim significantly when the move behind the scanner/mini map.
Send isk option to any charector when asking for its info.
Trade to other players or donate to corp for salvage you don't use or need.
A better inventory system for what you own.
Hacking to be a button toggle rather than holding it. Keeps dropping contact and has never been fixed correctly.
Interstellar, nanotechnology infused clones mercs and we can't climb a slope my 83 yr old gran could make it up?? Sort that.
Corp fittings and the ability to automatically replenish them which needs...
Corp hangers/lockers.
An intra-corp auction house to get players used to a dynamic marketplace before the eve/dust economies are linked.
That's just for starters by the way. Won't have anything to talk about at Fanfest if I list them all..... |

Please show the syringe to those carrying nanite injector, only when help was requested by the fallen teammate. He must press square on pad - "Request help" to show up on the logis' HUD. Now it just starts blinking (i guess). Distance to them would be appreciated too.
You could display a wrench (or duct tape ) icon on HUD to those who carry repper when others are low on armor and have no armor repairer module. Or allow them to request help before it's too late and all SD's are hacked by reds... |

Next to the notification should be instructions on how to call the strike, kind of like how CoD games tell you how to activate your killstreak rewards. Renaming the "off-map support" section "strikes" would really make thing more obvious as well. |

When wielding a repair tool, take off automatic locking. Instead, clicking the zoom button will lock on to the target, and then proceeding to hold down the fire button will heal that person.
It is incredibly difficult for me to select the two tanking heavies with my prototype repper in a mass of blues because of the current lock on mechanic. |
