I actually agree with you, I posted my solution on page two of this thread.
QQ'ing or posting a thread about an issue that is bothering you (whichever you prefer to call it) actually brings attention to the issue.
After my thread on Kain it was in their 'weekly update' a few days later of things they are working on or looking at. Making posts on things that you think are wrong with the game is really the best way to get it addressed.
Does posting a solution help, maybe?, but it's productive either way in my opinion. Unless of course you don't want to see the issue addressed in which case I could see why AFK threads seem to annoy you so much. |

I guess you can't read. I'm not surprised really. I did just post a solution, namely dust should go passive SP only. Also, I've posted the same suggestion in the feedback forum, and a previous, less drastic, suggestion there as well.
Also, I'm not QQing, not that you could tell anyway, considering you can't read. I'm merely pointing out how pathetic you lot really are.
It seems to me that it's the sad, tired, afkers that are QQing. |

The one thing I do like about Ambushes is that they draw certain kinds of people out of Skirmish. Which isn't to say we don't have our own @sshats right now. Lesser evil and all that jive. |

In my opinion, I hope you'll agree, the spam blank mail now represents hate mail to MCC squatters. It's about the same amount of effort.
The next match I scanned the MCC at the very start of the match. Three non movers. I knew another loss was coming. We wont beat them. So I thought, "If you can't beat them, join the ones who didn't join you in beating them", and I almost started to farm SP myself like a big hypocrite. No, I couldn't do it. I just shut the PS3 off after three games. Yay, fun.
Yeah, I know, cool story bro. There will be a sequel if this rotten gamesmanship continues. To all you real players, add these farming wasteoids to your contacts and spam them with blank mail then delete their contacts. If not that, please do not join the corps of these players.
If someone wants to compile a blacklist of these players and their corps . . . . run some names in the mud. They are killing the dust community.
The only other way is for absolutely everybody to farm skill until CCP realizes nobody is on the battlefield.
hey, don't hate on us, it's called burn out, we can't stand playing the game anymore, but we believe in it's promise.
so what do we do?
we afk farm so we're not left in the dust. they're pub matches, get over it, they're only there to gain SP and isk |

Maybe is because it's perfect for my laser guy. Snipers are my greatest weakness so I'm regularly killed by them in skirmish whereas in ambush I can usually get close to them and burn them instantly before crouching out. |

nice post.
I agree with you I don't like it either but you must remember why we have it. To let the players that don't get a lot of WP's for the time spent in battle. It helps them get ISK and SP where otherwise they would be left further behind. That is how you would solve this problem, figure out a way to let the less skilled receive points while not letting others abuse the system. I have came up with my own idea instead of QQing about it like others but that would deserve its own post. |

Some people can play the game, and your burn out excuse is causing other players to dislike all the marketplace skills that seem more important than the actual gameplay. All you Eve number fiends are cool and all, but don't expect Dust to compete with other shooters if the fighting takes a backseat to endless leveling up where no fight is needed. |

That was the point of putting multipliers on points. The first 250 earned WP would be = to 1250 WP earned on the higher tiered levels.
It means the bad players would still get nice adjustment to their tiny WP scores to ensure they got decent rewards, and players on the high end would still be getting rewards well into the 2,000 and 3,000 WP marks (although massively diminished)
Basically it's a system that rewards extremely well at the start, and tappers off at tiers to ensure the top tier players are not getting insane rewards. It just takes out the free lunch rewards for doing nothing.
I think it would also result in a better feeling of purpose on the battlefield when you are rewarded for what you do instead of just existing.

I see where you are going but that is not helping the situation. You are showing favoritism to the unskilled and not helping them learn the ropes to actually be better players. For example if you wanted to train players to be more aggressive you would give them SP for being around objectives where kills are taking place or objectives are being taken. If they are snipers maybe points for spotting and add more points to assists. Basically no points for just showing up. |

We would bother actually playing to win the game. Maybe you're too busy passing out boo-hoo tissues to know about this new concept, winning the game, where activity is required to overcome your equally active opponent. Hint: Sometimes achieving a purpose or reaching a goal within that game will contribute to a win, and other players want that. Highly competitive daydreaming in the marketplace is not the game.

I'm all for reworking the SP system as well don't get my wrong. I am just saying rewards for actions is a step in the right direction over rewards for doing absolutely nothing. The reason CCP picked the rewards for doing nothing is it's easier to implement and it will reward players who don't do **** and keep them playing the game (look at all the redline snipers who are happy with 100-200WP). |

Everyone must play like I play or I'm telling. That's what I hear.
A better analogy is you find out your neighbor is committing fraud and earning a **** ton of cash, that's not really my business so whatever. Then you both go the the auction to buy **** and he outbids you on everything. Now you are probably going to be a little pissed. If it wasn't going to be a free market economy I doubt many people would give two fucks, but some people have foresight. Your analogy is invalid mainly because it is not fraud when the government (CPP) see no wrong in it. (Yea they said it themselves) II think you'll find that CCP does see this as wrong.
They don't like it because their hands are tied trying to help the newberries.
But they allow it. |

But since I cannot read. Da herpa derpa derp back at ya.
You might not bother playing. I count you in the group of worthless afkers after all. If you enjoy playing dust intrinsically (look it up) then you don't need an extrinsic stimulus. If all you want is to see your sp go up, please feel free to play click a cow, I hear it has no click cap. Please QQ in the corner. Your tears are getting my socks wet. Do you have any solutions or just tears?
Wow. Were you born this stupid?
Funny how you're the only one that can't read my solution. Sorry buddy, tutors for tots time is over. If you don't get it by now, well - good luck.

Passive SP is not the answer. What incentive would I have to keep playing that extra hour if I will make the same SP without playing?
