The forum mods have a strange double standard when it comes to calling players out who do this. They let a 12 page thread go where I called out an Imperfect with a video, however they deleted a thread where I called out some lesser know Corporations. It's a violation of forum policy, unless of course it's an imperfect then the mods let it go.
Pretty sure he said naming corps was fine, naming individual players is not. |

Pretty sure he said naming corps was fine, naming individual players is not. The GM deleted the names and Corporations. Something along the lines of pointing fingers was not a productive way to handle the issue. Seemed more productive than anything they have done so far. Also the Imperfect player was named in the thread title haha, so serious double standard on enforcement. Ahh right, the Kane thread. It seems I remembered wrong though, this is what GM Unicorn had said
Quote:Hi, while I'm understanding your point of view in this matter, I don't like any sort of "head hunting" with names and such. We are aware of the situation but we still have to make an official statement about it. I'm closing the thread in order to avoid a massive flame, but if you want to discuss about it in a civil way, feel free to open a new one. Also, I have nothing against a thread from another perspective like "List of Corps that are against farming" or something like that. |

I sometimes forget that not everyone has been a part of a good team, whether underdog or favored. I don't care if people want to play a video game casually, but why they choose a team game were their carelessness affects other players is beyond me. By tryhards I mean busting out 5 tanks in an Ambush match against newberries, they know who they are... |

Right.... so they can AFK indefinitely? Problem right now is how rewards are handled, no one should get that much SP for just being in a match. Maybe if they just halved the SP for time in a match and increased the WP reward? |

Anyone who believes there will be an anti-idol system with enough teeth to actually work is a fool. There are to many side-cases where they have to error on the side of caution. It will be so easy to figure out a way to bypass any 'detection' they implement it will be a pointless exercise on their part. Why are you so concerned about how others play? Even if they aren't actually playing...
So is this weekly cap the final decision, or are we ever going back to a roll over system? Cause this feels like community service where I have to put in a certain number of hours in a month -_- |

For the same reason I don't go to concerts where the band doesn't show up, but I still get to stare at the instruments set up on stage. Encore! Encore!
Except it's a free concert where you get stuff for just showing up, and while you were staring at the instruments wondering why you paid for a free concert; the guy next to you was listening to his i-pod. |

nice post.
I agree with you I don't like it either but you must remember why we have it. To let the players that don't get a lot of WP's for the time spent in battle. It helps them get ISK and SP where otherwise they would be left further behind. That is how you would solve this problem, figure out a way to let the less skilled receive points while not letting others abuse the system. I have came up with my own idea instead of QQing about it like others but that would deserve its own post.
That was the point of putting multipliers on points. The first 250 earned WP would be = to 1250 WP earned on the higher tiered levels. It means the bad players would still get nice adjustment to their tiny WP scores to ensure they got decent rewards, and players on the high end would still be getting rewards well into the 2,000 and 3,000 WP marks (although massively diminished) Basically it's a system that rewards extremely well at the start, and tappers off at tiers to ensure the top tier players are not getting insane rewards. It just takes out the free lunch rewards for doing nothing. I think it would also result in a better feeling of purpose on the battlefield when you are rewarded for what you do instead of just existing. Sounds good, +1
