The afkers would leave, but the rest of us would have a nice game to play, and CCP would continue to make money off of everything except the active boosters. Do it CCP. The afkers, no lifers will be off to the next shiny anyway.

I just played three horrific games that were losses from the word go. First game I didn't realize we had people going 0/0 until the end of the match. The next match was just as bad, so halfway through I checked the score-sheet and started to see the same names from the previous game on my team. Did I team kill them? No. Did I send hate mail? No. I sent about ten blank emails to the person of a recognizable corp. What we have here is failure to communicate!. In my opinion, I hope you'll agree, the spam blank mail now represents hate mail to MCC squatters. It's about the same amount of effort.

The next match I scanned the MCC at the very start of the match. Three non movers. I knew another loss was coming. We wont beat them. So I thought, "If you can't beat them, join the ones who didn't join you in beating them", and I almost started to farm SP myself like a big hypocrite. No, I couldn't do it. I just shut the PS3 off after three games. Yay, fun.

Yeah, I know, cool story bro. There will be a sequel if this rotten gamesmanship continues. To all you real players, add these farming wasteoids to your contacts and spam them with blank mail then delete their contacts. If not that, please do not join the corps of these players.

If someone wants to compile a blacklist of these players and their corps . . . . run some names in the mud. They are killing the dust community.

The only other way is for absolutely everybody to farm skill until CCP realizes nobody is on the battlefield.

I actually agree with you, I posted my solution on page two of this thread.

QQ'ing or posting a thread about an issue that is bothering you (whichever you prefer to call it) actually brings attention to the issue.

After my thread on Kain it was in their 'weekly update' a few days later of things they are working on or looking at. Making posts on things that you think are wrong with the game is really the best way to get it addressed.

Does posting a solution help, maybe?, but it's productive either way in my opinion. Unless of course you don't want to see the issue addressed in which case I could see why AFK threads seem to annoy you so much.

That was the point of putting multipliers on points. The first 250 earned WP would be = to 1250 WP earned on the higher tiered levels.

It means the bad players would still get nice adjustment to their tiny WP scores to ensure they got decent rewards, and players on the high end would still be getting rewards well into the 2,000 and 3,000 WP marks (although massively diminished)

Basically it's a system that rewards extremely well at the start, and tappers off at tiers to ensure the top tier players are not getting insane rewards. It just takes out the free lunch rewards for doing nothing.

I think it would also result in a better feeling of purpose on the battlefield when you are rewarded for what you do instead of just existing.

A better analogy is you find out your neighbor is committing fraud and earning a **** ton of cash, that's not really my business so whatever. Then you both go the the auction to buy **** and he outbids you on everything. Now you are probably going to be a little pissed. If it wasn't going to be a free market economy I doubt many people would give two fucks, but some people have foresight.

You might not bother playing. I count you in the group of worthless afkers after all. If you enjoy playing dust intrinsically (look it up) then you don't need an extrinsic stimulus. If all you want is to see your sp go up, please feel free to play click a cow, I hear it has no click cap.

I'm all for reworking the SP system as well don't get my wrong. I am just saying rewards for actions is a step in the right direction over rewards for doing absolutely nothing. The reason CCP picked the rewards for doing nothing is it's easier to implement and it will reward players who don't do **** and keep them playing the game (look at all the redline snipers who are happy with 100-200WP).

It's true my system would still reward 250 WP with 2,500 SP because you can't weed out the players with no skill, and the ones who don't try. I still think my system is 10x better than giving them 5,000 SP and giving a player with 2,000 WP 8,500 SP

0WP should be rewarded with 0SP and 0ISK, anyone who disagrees with that has some serious problems. They probably are displaying all the trophies they got for getting last place in all their Sports Leauges.

Last night I AFK farmed the MCC becuase my girlfriend surprized me by taking her top off. But not only did I get laid, I also got a ton of isk and sp. Ca Ching

He always squads with massive amounts of talent, at least in his vids. Not to dimminsh his skill, but if his squad hangs in the mcc, the outcome of the match could be entirely different. Most of the skilled AFKers are doing this alone. Maybe in a pair.

There is not one player in the game that can carry an entire bad team. But lets say the teams are even, if two of your four top players MCC squat, you lose. This is not fair, for example, for the two other skilled players who don't immediately know the battle is unbalanced, nevermind new players going 0-16 like martyrs, thinking there playing with someone who knows what they are doing. Nope, the people who know what they are doing are not doing anything accept looking at sp once the game finishes.

Well, that gives some us of hope. You are human. I run solo mostly (second lowest W/L in the top 100 total kills at one point) so I find much of the same experience, it usually only takes one good squad to win, if there is not one to match it on the other side. But if it's all randoms and one skilled player, the skilled player can go bezerk.

You can squad with me anytime IDGAF who I play with, as for a dip in performance I would doubt it. I have good games and I have bad ones. Not like I change my play style in a squad in pubs anyway. As for leaving matches I don't leave. I've been outmatched and outnumbered by PHI and IMPs in the past few days and took it like a man said GG and moved on. You seem to be complaining because you EXPECT help from others while I deal with the situations. 1.2 Million WP is a ton of playtime, so you are not a noob clearly. Since I've actually squaded with JL3 in the past and he is one of the best people I've played with acting like you are better than him is kind of funny to me.

That said I don't know anything about you or how you play. You're also are in a Corporation I don't know much about. Joining a strong Corporation can make you a much better player. Since I joined Ill Omens and started playing with other pretty skilled players my KDR and other stats has been skyrocketing so stats don't tell the whole story.

First off I'm going to explain something about that site. Lets start with something simple. You need to update it all the time to stay current, so you are looking at some peeps old stats. That's the simple part, I haven't updated. Secondly, and more importantly the last time I updated, I was number one in war points. What happened next was I got the hack bug, the bug that resets while you hack, doesn't complete hacks, and many times gets you killed trying to hack for extra few unsuccessful minutes. So I stopped hacking anything and my warpoints went down the drain.

I am only in a corporation by myself. I just wanted to change the name. I have no doubt I would improve with good players by my side. A but they have to be good people. I don't see AFKer's as good people. That cancels out a lot of good corps.

Lastly about this fluffy fellow. There are better players than me. Then again, there a players you think are good, but they are only that good because of their squad. Even that guy above that I said was the best player in the game admitted the game is different when you go solo. And he is a nasty player. I have gone 21-0, all ground game, in a game where we got redlined, and nobody else on my team went positive. Again, not the best player, but I occasionally can play with the best in the game.
