No its not an in game glitch. Its the result of CCP putting in their SP gain system of 5 SP per second and 1 SP per WP. The second they said this it was predicted that PPL would AFK farm because you get 70-75% of your SP from time in game not from how well you do. I have said it before and I will say it again. To stop this you have to make it not worthwhile. If you make 1 WP = 5 SP and 1 sec = 1 SP then you will have fixed the vast majority of the problem. Why AFK farm for a measly 1000-1500 SP when if you play a good game you will get 10,000 to 15,000 SP in a single match? This is the change that needs to be made. Until that change is made I cannot blame the people who decide to AFK farm in the MCC because it is so profitable.

In the unlikely event that you have 0 kills and 0 war points, maybe. Could be tough on a completely new player who just gets killed and doesn't know how to lay down equipment or take points. If you mean 0 kills and 0 deaths, it's not hard to get a death. Just jump out of the MCC at the start of the match.

You can still give the participation award to the newbs who go negative but don't have to provide them a steak dinner as well.

What if you just don't get the kills or deaths because the other team is all hiding on their barge? You should still get the sp for looking for them right?

Blame CCP not the players. BTW if you jump up onto the half walls in the MCC you can not get team killed by a cooked grenade either.

Its either people AFK farm because they have hope that the game will get better or they just leave in the first place. I can also tell you that its not like you have a better chance of winning if you play. The general competence of blueberries in Skrimish matches verges on coma patients. You squad up with your corp mates, you all end the match with 1500-2000 WP and guess what... you still lose. Wanna know why? Because all of the other Bluetards are 0/4 or 2/3 with about 200WP each.

So the reason you are seeing top players hanging out in the MCC is because they don't want to fall behind in skill points. Or have been just working on the same build for their toon that they have been using for the past 6 months. I for one will start playing again after I max my sagaris build and can do some groundpounding before training missles We have hope that Planetary Conquest can keep us interested
