Hi guys, in order to make the first page nice and clean, I wiped the posts #2, #3. #5 and #6 so the OP will be able to have few consecutive posts and the overall thread will look better. For the records, that is what I deleted :)

That's quite okay, I'm pleased to see my work being referenced around the forums and people aren't just guessing ranges of weapons in their arguments.
Pistols will need an update today at some point as their ranges are being modified in the upcoming build. Will post when I have done so. |

Alright, I added 3 more pistols that were missing from advanced. I also check all the pistol ranges now that they have been updated with Chromosome. Optimals stayed mostly the same, I think there was only one small change on a breach or something.
The max ranges are now slightly shorter on the long shooting pistols capping in at just under 70m with the standard pistols. I'm going away so no more updates for a few weeks, happy holidays everyone! |

When you are back it would be wonderful if you could do an expansion of your data. (I don't know what the begging icon is?)
Pick a weapon class and expand all the data that makes choosing between them clear. Clip size, max ammo, DMG stats added to your excellent range chart would be a fantastic resource.
Offers to help would probably even get some assistance. I would help anyway. |

Snipers = take no account for range, you will most likely hit them. THat being said hit detection can be off and not register shots well at longer ranges. |

Thank you. What exactly do you mean by the damage drop off range? The percentage it decreases per metre up to max range or? |

Well I'm sure CCP will add range information to the weapon info text, until then this is just your best bet to avoid people moaning about lasers having double the reach of assault rifles and so on. |

Did they remove the experimental sniper rifle from the game? If so every sniper rifle's range is 1-599 (optimal and max).
Except the thale. I don't know what the range is on that. I'd assume it's the same, but I know this guide is for facts only ;)
edit: I have access to all large blaster turrets too, and those are a bit more interesting. Some do more damage at long range and less at close (like the laser). I'll post that in a bit if you're still updating this. |

Have you tested every single large railgun turret? If so I'll add it to the list, otherwise I'd prefer to add just the ones you have tested. Same with sniper rifles. I'm not too worried about officer gun's just yet but if anyone has the numbers it would be good.
Yeah by all means get me the blaster numbers, all help is appreciated and credit given where it's due :).
Reason for slow updates is cause the basic information is there and any skillprogress is just so slow now whereas before I could just roll an alt and get most numbers I wanted. The more people who are willing to help the quicker this guide can be finished.
I do believe CCP will add the range numbers into weapon information at some point in the future but until then I'll try and keep this up to date (which it is atm). |

-all 599m range, and optimal is 1-599. They used to have unlimited range, but CCP fixed that. Blaster should be easier to test because I can test that in our redline... no need to target stuff on the other side of the map lol. So that's every large railgun in the game ^_^. |

I'll do more later. I dropped in almost all of these for people in one game lol. Tanks galore! It was odd that people didn't want to take them. I was saying, "free tanks in back. Anyone? It's a decently equipped sica, but with a Proto turret! No?? Please take the free tank! #.#"
edit: on the 85m optimal range, it was more like 85.5m. For some reason it'd go from 100% to less than 100% within the same 85m. I figure your + or - 1m takes that into account. |

aww, lost a tank ;_; died 2 noobz lol.
got orbitaled while looking @ map and then shot after killing another tank >.< Although I kind of ****** up that time lol. Note to self: don't post on forums while killing tanks lol. It was a blaster tank, how embarrassing! I should be able to get out of orbitals too ;(
i'll send myself some more $ from an alt when a director gets on and then finish testing in a little bit :D
edit: nvm, i forgot i bought all the tanks and turrets in advance lol. Just need to buy that other blaster again and I'm gtg ^_^ lost some cash during cbs so now I'm almost poor. I'm also way too lazy to just call in one tank per battle >.<
edit edit: cool, if you post tomorrow i'll edit it and make it all organized and everything for you. I can get the meta lvl from the market. Idk why you need it tho :o I thought about it a little bit, and would you like the shots to overheat on the railguns? I know most of the compressed are 3 to overheat, but the others are 5. There's one (the advanced) where you can get 6 to overheat. I think it might be a bug, but who knows. Also, it looks like I was mistaken about some blasters acting like the laser. They might have changed it, or I just ****** up. I'll finish testing to find out :o |

The reason for meta levels is simply cause they show where abouts in the weapon list the item sit, bottom middle or top making it easy for players to see how the range stats change as they use more powerful weaponary. IF you want to sort out everything then that is muchly appreciated.
Only stats I'm after in this thread is the ranges but thanks for the offer. |

ok... so what's odd is the 80GJ Stabilized Neutron Blaster. It has a slightly bigger max range and max effective range. The stabilized variants have longer range and max effective range than their counterparts, but the 80GJ Stabilized Neutron Blaster shoots even farther than the proto stabilized version. I tested it twice to be sure :p.
edit: I realize I forgot to test the Militia 80GJ Railgun's range. All you need to do is buy a sica ;). I'm going to take a break.
Also, one of the advance level railguns fires 6 shots to overheat instead of the usual 5. I'm guessing that the 6 shot rail (proto can only do 5) and the stabilized neutron with its longer range were intentional.
edit edit: I only spent a little less than 4mil, so that's not as bad as I thought it would be. If someone wants to repeat it, they can expect to spend ~ the same (I had a bunch of extra turrets already). |
