It's such a shame, I feel sorry for all these tank drivers and the prices of their kit. You hardly see any at all now, I only see at least one in every game now, sometimes three or four, surely they should be able to have at least three per game especially in TDM. It makes the games go so fast when they kill the entire team in two minutes which means we can play twice as many. And those guys with missile turrets, wow they must be so expensive, sure they get 20 or 30 or 40 kills a game but come on foot soldiers hold off a bit so they can get a few more, remember if ever they lose a tank they have to pay for them, even though they hardly ever lose them they still had to spend it all in the first place. This game is no way all about tanks, there a lots of ways to deal with them now, quit the game, turn off your ps3, run to the hills and hide untill game end, leave spawning as long as possible, shoot at your team mate then run and the tank will come after him, or of course not to forget we have av grenades they work a treat, tell all your friends all they have to do is run at the tank and throw them. Now I know the SL is rubbish and they nerfed the Forge, but come on tanks are usefull, these people that say they just go round the map in circles killing everyone and blowing eveything up, huh, I,ve never seen that, they cover their team mates, they take control points and are generally exceptionaly skilled fps players. Stop moaning about tanks, tanks are not OP and will not ruin this game. |

AV is not cheap anymore and HAVs are going to wind up being more and more the goto option in terms of being challenged. |

Another post about OP tanks Dave? This time from a sarcastic viewpoint? (sorry if your being serious). 1.) Tanks aren't OP. 2.) No-one is using swarm/SMG combo. This should be the basic loadout everyone has. Militia EVERYTHING. 3.) AV nades + hive = smoking wreck. 4.) Switch every sniper on your team for the loadout I mentioned. Now the game works.
Tanks aren't op. snipers are just complete idiots. |

Should cost 2-3 times as much if you ask me. Not troll I fricking hate tanks so much and I'm now in one and lol its an I win button what a joke. Great thing is at least I now stand a change of killing tanks. Well maybe not Just bads cos he pwnd me 2 x in a match but the rest of ya well bring ya tanks and lets see who has the most isk in the bank. |

I think you've hit the real problem Dave. It's not fun UNLESS your team is stomping. I don't know what to suggest on that front. But I agree, it's very hard to persuade people to play. Last build alienated so many... This build isn't enough to bring them back. But it's headed that way. 1 of my 5 "beta buds" has started playing again with this build. Edit:my "beta buds" said "LoLbyebye New Eden" last build. |

well the last build was for the sole purpose of vehicle testing. This build fixed that and included squads and orbital strikes etc. so we should get new players en masse ( thanks to ps+ ) . . . i have to convince my mates to play it again though. . . |

I think that Blendeddave warriors has proved that the game is balanced. How? Well because now we have complaints that tanks are overpowered against foot soldiers, heavies with forge guns are overpowered against tanks, remote detonators are overpowered against heavy dropsuits, and dropships stomping people are overpowered against the spawn campers with remote detonators! Seems we have an extended paper rock scissor formula which means balance. Ha! So don't remove anything from the cycle.
I'm glad that no one complains that they capture objectives too quickly or that their nano injectors heal too much or the vehicles drop to close too their location or installations shoot too far.
Now a more interesting observation would be if one class of tank seemed overpowered to another (Marauder, black ops etc.). Now with the SP resets I'll have to find out if black ops shield tanks are the way to go where as I like Surya's over Sagaris, or will Suryas still have advantages to those higher end models as they have the 5th low powered module. I'm really really curious. |

Shield tanked Tanks with nanofibers are just stupid, they just drive around in circles breaking LoS to regen shields, and you can't take them out with Forges (not enough mobility) or SL's (not enough upfront damage), and you're likely dead if you get close enough to hit them with an AV or Flux grenade, if the driver and crew are even remotely paying attention. I used to give tanks hard times with my Dropships, but Dropships are dead to me this build....

Agree with that for the most part. You're lucky if your team field 2 swarm/smg fits whilst combatting a tank laden team. Most seek refuge in the hills which is why I feel we're seeing so many snipers atm. Its fortunate that sniping is so tricky as it could be so much worse in that respect. |

had a rouund where 3 gunnlogis spawned, just left me feeling really depressed, forge gun range nerfs means they just roll back a few meters to be out of range (hell the forge gun range is so small now lucky if you can even hit it to begin with) , the swarm launcher didnt have even enough range to lock onto them.
Railgun tank took out the turrets in 2 shots, open terrain meant you couldnt run up to them and spam AV greanades with out being totally destroyed.
The missiles they fire knock your aim 60-90 degress every time they hit, if it seems they are taking damge they just roll away at near lav speeds. this makes even the precision strike unable to do much more than scare them off.
This is just using the mid tier tanks, once people have marauders its going to be even worse.
Give the tanks some sort of range limitation on their weapons just like everyone else, give them limited ammo, just like everyone else, make them move slower. Leave their EHP and dmg the same, just give the non tankers a chance, it just isnt fun to be endlessy owned, and feel helpless.
(oh and make the swarm missiles stop smashing into the ground by the tank and actually hit it) |

So Warriors and a GAC squad went up against my tank and im not kidding swarms everywhere. They spent the whole game chasing me and my corp mate.
2 guys vs 8 + and yes tank lived tho I only got 6 kills. Guess I'm just super leet....
No wait Im in a tank that needs nerfing. |

Vitriol, you must be doing it wrong mate, tanks are not op, I rarely see them and when i do I can normaly sneak up on them and take them out, the trick is you have to get your whole team to jump on top of them with repair kits, blind them so they cant see then kill them when they jump out..... Job done. |

Tanks are fine now. Personally I think that the Militia should be a tad bit cheaper, but other than that, they're fine. If you ask me, the people complaining about it are the idiots. Have a problem with tanks? Then got to your nearest supply point, pick up your AV suit with some squad mates, blow the tank up, go back and change suit. Simple....except you probably don't hav a AT suit do you, and that's why you're complaining. Typical. |

I have of yet to see any coordinated group effort to ambush a tank with 5+ AV ppl. It will go down, however, most of us just randomly go hunting without grouping up (myself included)..... It will be interesting to see which will develop as a counter, having half or more of your team switch into an av fit for a little while, us av ppl trying to group up, bringing in your own tank, or just saying the hell with it and join the snipers in the hills until the match is over. Ofcourse I never understood the hill snipers, even a bunch of militia swarm launchers that cost nothing could kill a tank if you have enough of them. |
