Another post about OP tanks Dave? This time from a sarcastic viewpoint? (sorry if your being serious). 1.) Tanks aren't OP. 2.) No-one is using swarm/SMG combo. This should be the basic loadout everyone has. Militia EVERYTHING. 3.) AV nades + hive = smoking wreck. 4.) Switch every sniper on your team for the loadout I mentioned. Now the game works.
Tanks aren't op. snipers are just complete idiots. |

Psssshh. Do they really want to make this the least fun game of all time? FFS militia stuff should be free and fun. Not a constant pain. How to ruin pick up games, force people to use 1 of 4 classes. How very (not) CCP? |

I think you've hit the real problem Dave. It's not fun UNLESS your team is stomping. I don't know what to suggest on that front. But I agree, it's very hard to persuade people to play. Last build alienated so many... This build isn't enough to bring them back. But it's headed that way. 1 of my 5 "beta buds" has started playing again with this build. Edit:my "beta buds" said "LoLbyebye New Eden" last build. |

Anyone noticed the way swarmers seem to hit the floor a lot recently, even against installations? This helps tanks. Not sure quite what it's about. But swarmers are better vs infantry (marginally). The forge gun Nerf IMHO was crude. It should have been by way of falloff. Sorry if you get "sniped" by a forgegun but it's because you didn't shoot me. The splash damage should also be effected by falloff, but that might make things more complicated for CCP.
I've not had too many problems with using AV grenades. Instakill LAVs, do large chunks of damage to HAVs, hives replace them faster than you can throw them.
I need to skill for forgegun ASAP to investigate further.
Why is there a militia HAV, but no militia Forgegun... Funny looking scales CCP are using to balance things. |

In a few weeks Dave I'll be a Proto god. Which means I'll have SP to spend on those high level grenades. Which means tanks can go burn on a rock. We're seeing some tanks which are almost maxed out on ehp. They're tough to destroy because no one has skilled for that wiykiyiykikkhiyromi swarm launcher thing. It'll be fine in a few weeks. |

I would probably sat that is getting rather personal. And tbh, if your buds ain't playing CCP's games, CCP probably dont want to hear it. That said... What about adapt or die vs get good. Be interesting just seeing the rosters. |

It's not unfair Kharn. The trouble is that most consoleers are far removed from forums. My buddies call me "forum boy" since I've been on Dust. Funny part is, they're in the beta too, and should be on here! Well, you can take a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.
Regarding OP tanks, yes they're insanely tough. But the damage normal tanks do now is seriously reduced. The cant drive up steep slopes (however, nor can infantry...) and are excellent for you if your not a traditional FPS player. Most EvE players can fit a tank better than a non EvE player. Hence the cries of OP tank. It's OP fitting if anything now the 1.5 marauder damage mod is gone (as far as we know, they might have just hidden it lol).
Working as intended currently IMHO. The problem is our Playerbase. It's terrible. Worse than terrible. Bloody atrocious.
I played skirmish games yesterday, specifically on plateau. I spawned last because of my uber connection. Surprise surprise, everyone is walking to C. So I call in an LAV, and race to C, reaching it before anyone else on my team. They had decided that automated blasters and close reserves were more important. I then drove over to D. Same story. So I cap 2 letter, an go fight for B. alone. Totally alone for about 3 minutes, fighting 2 vs 1 at safest moments. Thank god for the huge hitbox on objectives :D
Now, this kinda BS continues all the time. People "covering" your back while you hack. HELP ME HACK FFS. The objectives win games. If you aren't playing for the win then gtfo. If you can't deal with the objective, how the hell are you going to deal with a 15kehp tank? Until we have good players, for the love of us all don't Nerf tanks.
I'll try and do a brief 10 things to do in skirmish list later. It's beyond a joke. |

FFS guys, get AV nades, wtf do you think happens when 16 people throw 48 AV nades at a HAV? Unrealistic? Only because everyone takes militia grenades. Sorry if 2500 is too much per death. AV nades are not an option. |
