Sorry, I should have been more specific in my reply.
We are considering increasing the girth of the rock so that you might be able to hide under it. It is meant to serve as a potential counter to the fourth piece of the combat cycle, "the orbital strike". |

Might I suggest removing the scissors and paper after the orbital strike is implemented to keep in line with [CCP]Einstein's commentary that future battles would be fought with sticks and stones? |

My main on EVE would enjoy this thread.
and I quote my own bio:
'Rock is overpowered, paper is fine' -Scissors
It would seem that scissors are not overpowered. I will say that paper does seem a bit weak, but with the 'boost' that rock is going to get, I'd say it's too much as it is. |

Where does shoe come in to play? Have you guys forgotten about balancing shoe so that it can't withstand as much force from rock, withstand as much cuts from scissor and crumple paper to the extent of ripping?
***EDIT*** Solutions: Increase size of rock so that it can more easily crush shoe. Increase size of scissors so that it can more easily cut shoe. Increase size of paper to increase its chances of covering shoe. |

I always fail to see how paper can beat a frikin ROCK! Wont the paper just blow away? Why not replace paper with dynamite. Dynamite beats rock and scissors can cut the fuse. See, situation solved. |

Pull my finger..... Spock and lizard will die instantly leading to Paper hiding under rock. scissors digging a hole and climbing in it and rock jumping in the lake taking paper with it.....
So what actually needs a nerf?
The solution launch an Orbital strike before I do.... |

Why must these threads always start getting off topic. We all know scissors is OP. DEVS NEED TO NERF THEM.
It must be done now or I will rage quit/threaten to leave for another game/ ultimately sulk and come slinking back and hope no one noticed, then change my opinion 2 months down the line when I get crushed by rock after saving for my shiney new hairdresser scissors. |

Finn Kempers wrote:Raj: I'll tell you what, how about we go rock-paper-scissors? Sheldon: Eww, I don't think so. Anecdotal evidence suggests that in the game of rock-paper-scissors, players familiar with each other tie 75-80% of the time due to the limited number of outcomes. I suggest "rock-paper-scissors-lizard-Spock. It's very simple. Scissors cuts paper, paper covers rock, rock crushes lizard, lizard poisons Spock, Spock smashes scissors, scissors decapitates lizard, lizard eats paper, paper disproves Spock, Spock vaporizes rock, andGÇöas it always hasGÇörock crushes scissors."
OMG a viable solution was presented and u all still cry about nerfs n buffs please could u all just adapt or die .... Nubs! gawd! |

Just thought I would fit the rest in. It will be nice having two different versions of rock paper and scissors.

this game sucks!! the movement of rocks isn't smooth! and i can't run with scissors! paper gives me little cuts! you should make this game more like tag, cuz you know, the you're it was awesome in tag, none of this nancyboy rock crap. this game could be totally tag 2 with you're its. and if you don't put them in, people are going to have a mass exodus from this game when hide and seek 2 comes out!! |

I didn't want to bring up H&S2, because I'm really looking forward to that game, but he's right, those of us who have jobs and don't have time to practice throwing scissor ALL DAY are just going to find a closet or nice wardrobe to hide in instead. |

This thread had better go public once the game releases. Its very important that the wider player base understands the kinds of tough balancing decisions that went into making this the awesome game it will be. |

CCP Nothin wrote:Hi guys,
An update on this:
We found a pretty severe bug with the scissors that made them approximately 6.5x sharper than we intended. We're looking into deploying a hotfix shortly. Conversely, the rock will be getting a slight boost as we're looking to address the fact that it is, well, a rock.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused. The rock is somewhat buggy, it needs a bit of a polish.
