Hey guys,
So following on from all of the questions I've seen on the forums, I grabbed CCP Rouge for a quick chat and we wanted to add a few words on the introduction of Project Legion and how it relates to DUST 514.
"Today's discussions have brought a flurry of excitement and nerves, and I wanted to address some of those feelings here. Project Legion is at the moment just that, a project in early development. Our, and by our I mean CCP's, goals, have always been to create a persistent universe where your footprints are eternally preserved in the sand. This has always been our strategy and is fundamentally important to us. Because it is still so early for Project Legion we have not yet discovered exactly what form this will take, should the project grow we will do whatever we can to bring you and your footsteps with us."
I've also grabbed him for a live interview on EVE TV in just a moment to answer some of your questions, so make sure to tune in for that too.

Currently there is not much you can do. Sorry. You messed up big time. You announced that way to early. Before you figured out what to do with Dust. What did you expect to happen?
You announced the game you were promising us since 2009 again... for PC... with no concrete plans what you can give the Dust players who have supported you for years now. Heck. Had you at least that figured out the backlash wouldn't have been as severe.
How are we supposed to react? Of course legion is only a project at the moment. But it's THE SAME project Dust is... or was. And you already told us that it gets some features you originally planned for Dust, which in turn won't get them anymore.

Saberwing this is really poor stuff. You should just go ahead and get him to answer one important question "Will dust players be able to transfer their characters to Legion".. that's pretty much it. Once we get an answer to that, I can guarantee you it will be determinant in deciding whether people continue playing Dust - which lets be realistic, will have no new content until it is shut down... maybe a stability or bug fix here and there... but considering all your development time has been on a new game, and will continue to be that way - please don't insult people's intelligence and don't ruin the crediblity that you still have by trying to say "oh we're still working on Dust" - if you'd been working on it, we would've seen something today... we didn't... so there's nothing to show, that is the bottom line. Some timelines would be nice too. |

Pretty much counterweights the negative aspects imho. Hopefully characters can be transfered.

Sure u guys dont know where legion is going since it took "all the good stuff from dust" and loks exactly and obvious plays exactly like Dust 514 just more polished.
You better bring alot of towels to clean up the mess.
If you don't have really good plans to calm the crowd and give the community fianlly the feeling you guys care about this game you honestly should go fvkk yourself with a burning cactus.

The only reason I kept playing Dust514 was because of all the things promised to us. We should've become a part of New Eden.
But, no, plans have changed. Just OB Dust514 like you did in one of your videos.
Will we gonna keep our progress if we actually make the switch to Legion? No solid answers.
I'm gonna switch to Legion when Dust514 dies, but I'm gonna lose a lot of friends on my way and this is what makes me sad.

So, all this means everything we'd been looking forward to isn't going to happen? PVE and such, the market place? Are we just going to get hotfixes until Legion is developed fully and Dust is dropped, or will a few new fun things still be introduced into the game?
I love this game, but I honestly feel a bit crushed knowing there still don't seem to be any plans for the PS4 and that it seems like Dust is being all but abandoned. I want to see the game move forward as much as anyone, and for CCP to introduce the product they've been dreaming of, but that's a new arm, not the bandages that are needed now to save the one we have and love.

If Legion is simply a project then why has PVE and drones been discontinued on dust and will ONLY be implemented on Legion??? We all heard the dev say it at fanfest during Q&A.
