Okay so HAV will limp back towards the city and list hard into one of the walls and a Forge Gun blasts through the side plating.
The pair will then, me being unarmed and armoured, have to make it to steady and save his ass....right?

Are you sure these guys can carry and shoot a forge gun? I thought they are just a bunch of mortal soldiers and not clones.
And not not even the 2 clones have the equipment to carry one. |

It could be that they use a crew-serviced static emplacement forge gun, carried and operated by a dedicated team. A bit like heavy machine gun teams such as this one.
This overcomes the problem of needing a heavy frame suit to carry/operate the forge gun.

Yeah but it would take some time to build this up and don't forget a forge gun is a repurposed mining tool so who knows how difficult it is to set one up with it's weight.
But yeah that sounds reasonable and I thought that this could be a possibility but the design of the gun it self just seems so.... unfitting you know.
Maybe they can strap it on a LAV as a stronger version of a railgun turret.
That could turn the LAV into a pretty effective tank hunter. |

If it's being used as a crew weapon, it's reasonable to assume that some modifications have been performed. Such as lightweight components and a deployable tripod that opens up when they want to deploy the gun.
Also, since there may be a crew of 2-4 people, it'll be a bit easier.

Number 4 could be the communications officer or the guy that command speaks to, since the others are busy doing their things.
He may be the one who digs a hole for the team to hide in for better cover (using explosives, coz shovels suck!), and puts a bunch of sandbags and razor wire around them.
In addition to helping carry the gun, he could also use his own weapon to defend the emplacement from infantry unit heading towards them.

i know but their is stuff your guys to be getting on with. Ture is on the other side of the base and you have around 100 well armed troops coming your way. you guys are not locked to true :).
jacques as you get blits by the thale you do pick up. these are not bloodraiders, the gustaris pirates. i will leave it to you how you work that out.
