Neural integrations aren't unheard of with Amarr dropsuits, so perhaps tanks use a similar mechanic. Maybe you could feel the rumble of the engines in your stomach, the coolness of the shield systems on your skin, the thumping/pain of incoming fire while you operate a tank, especially one made for dusters. This might be impossible to do as this goes close to capsuleer neural uplinks, and only people with the right genetic markers can pull that off, and none of the dusters have those markers. But it would be cool if you climbed up into a pit where you stay suspended, hooking up your suit to the CPU and controlling it with your own movements. The traditional pilot cockpit seems kind of dull and boring for a scifi world 20 000 years in the future, and something designed more for baseliners. I consider a real tanker in game to have, spiritually, motor oil for blood, the roar of their cannon is their voice, and their body armoured and adamantine....... We are a people of steel and treads. But currently I consider it to be achieved through and interface suit. A pilot sits as per usual, but is pseudo neutrally linked to certai systems of their HAV, radar, modules, targeting, while piloting remains a physical aspect. I mean we are doing in one body the jobs of 3 men. I imagine the actual physical and mental focus would be immense. Conveying that plot into text is what you're struggling here with in my opinion. I can still get the point you're trying to make in your writing. And really, Kador is waaaaaay ahead of me in his writing ability, I mostly just put fluff around my actions and don't pre-plan much anything. That's why I end up doing half a billion edits to everything I write. I do try though, and try to always keep my actions as authentic to the lore as possible. Speaking of which, scrambler rifles don't instantly kill unprotected users, the problem arises when it overheats. Non-duster versions have a safety to prevent overheating, but it is removed from our versions, causing lethal amounts of heat on the user. Also, an assault rifle's massive recoil doesn't kill a mortal. It rips their arms off and they bleed to death, but they don't die to it directly. True has expressed frustraion due to his time zone so im slowing things down a little so he doesnot have to drop out :-). What u can do is slot in after him after he has posted and instread focuse on whats your character thinkinh and feeling. What does he see. How is feeling about the mission, as no matter what true posts it wont affact that moment. You can then add in actions after true has posted. I tend to do some thoughts and stuff like that when everything calmed down a bit and my char can spend some time on something else than not to die. But action time means, get your head out of the clouds and into the fight this keeps everything fresh and short which is the life essence of action in my opinion. But im not a professional writer and you can always correct me because I love to hear other theorys, but yes im going to stand still and maybe do I get a good idea how to deal with 23 VERY ANGRY BURLY MEN. (seriously Ermac is a magnet for ****** situations in this op it seems but at least do I get another challenge)

When writting you can pause time or do other actions like he is behind cover and the following thoughts go through his head etc. Its a way of transmiting personatly to the reader. I always find doing a few quick actions to show pace and the focuse on one in heavy deatil.
