Yeah, but in a blizzard, you can't see anything -not even your hand- unless it's right against your face. Sensors aren't that good either unless you are carrying a dedicated active scanner.
Additionally, a problem encountered in Minmatar suits in these places is that it gets so cold that the hydraulic fluid (used by everything apart from the light frames, which are basically just duct tape) freezes (not helped by the fact that the hydraulics are un-insulated), immobilizing the user.
Suits manufactured by other parties don't get this problem for various reasons.
* Gallente suits use artificial muscles (some fancy ferro-fibres).
* Caldari have some pretty neat servos that use contactless bearings (ELECTROMAGNETS! YEAH!).
Don't know what the Amarrian suits use, but it is augmented by the divine will of god, and therefore superior in every way.

I wouldn't say that, minmatar are the experts when it comes to finding a fast solution for a problem by using the things they are provided with.
I would bet to you that these middle and heavy frame suits can reroute the climate system of the suit into the outer frames of the dropsuit which would be enough heat to keep the hydraulic fluid flowing, and don't forget those suits where former zero-g engineering suits which are most likely space proof too. And we all know that space is far colder than any blizzard.
You can correct me if I am wrong here. |

Well... Space is a near-perfect vacuum (unless you are in a nebula or dense gas cloud), so the only way heat will get away is via radiation, which is quite slow compared to conduction (heat transfer by physical contact) and convection (heat transfer by moving gasses).
Also, if you altered the climate system, you might be able to keep the fluid liquid, at the expense of causing the user to die of hypothermia.

Still they must have a way of using those suits in extremly cold temperatures, they are using them in those types of climates and they function as intended and the wearer isn't showing anykind of discomfort.
Thats the same problem that I have with minmatar weapons on ships, how is a gas operated turret working in space! |

Gas-operated weapons work in space. Just ask the Russians.
Most bullets use gunpowder, which is a mixture of compounds that explode, plus an oxidiser. The oxidiser provides the oxygen needed to detonate the gunpowder. From here, the usual gasses are created, and you get a bullet being fired.
This is the chemical equation of black powder being used to fire a gun (NOTE: it is simplified):
2 KNO3 + S + 3 C GåÆ K2S + N2 + 3 CO2. (word equation below)
2 moles of Potassium Nitrate + 1 mole of Sulphur + 3 moles of Carbon GåÆ 1 mole of Potassium Sulphide + 1 mole of Nitrogen gas + 3 moles of Carbon Dioxide gas.
A quick breakdown:
The Potassium Nitrate (solid) provides the oxygen needed to burn the Carbon (solid).
While this is happening, the Sulphur (you guessed it, solid) reacts with the Potassium, removing the nitrogen from it in the process.
At the end of the reaction, you produce the following:
Potassium Sulphide.
Nitrogen (gas)
Carbon Dioxide (gas)
Gasses occupy about 1 000 times more space than when they are solid or liquid; this causes lots of pressure, which forces the bullet out of the barrel.
Due to the fact that in space the pressure differences are greater; the bullet would probably have a much higher kinetic energy too!

that improves the range of the weapon into infinity until it hits something that is clear, but gravity can be youre firend if you are still near an object of suitable size which means that you COULD (heavy emphasis on could!) make a bullet go in a curve and hit a difficult to reach target. |

You'd have to be far enough away that the enemy could just perform an avoidance maneuver. (exceptions include moons and stations larger than a certain mass)
Like, a few hundred-ish kilometres.

My experience with the Amarr sentinel has been very good. I can lift things effortlessly, I am well protected by some of the finest armour and shield technology in the cluster, and it is really luxuriously comfortable. A bit like floating in zero-gravity.
Not used any of the other suits; but apparently the Assault suit they use is quite... Painful...

Yeah the "Hydramembrane" that even get's from the wearer some additional energy ( sounds a little like matrix doesn't it?) I think they aren't using anykind of movement support because, well those suits are the slowest of all the middle frame suits even without armor plates or am I wrong? |

Yeah, the Ammarian suits are the slowest of the frames, but that's because the base suit comes with more plates than other models.

Yeah but the question is what are they using, could it be exoskeletons with hydraulics like the minmatar use them but only far better isolated? And are we getting too far from the topic here because we are bored? |

2). Yes...

Yes and I have suggested it to CCP many many times.
A randomised scenario generator set in a deep space wreck.
Will you find horrors like True Slaves or Blood Raiders, Drones, blue prints, or items, or do you simply find nothng.

Comfortable. Divine. Durable. They mesh with the body due to the spinal connection in an almost transcendent manner.

That we know we mean some details like is it using a exoskeleton like the minmatar with far better isolated hydraulic systems to support the movement and strengh of the wearer or is the suit using some other kind of machinery for that job? |

sssssssssssssooooooooooo yyyyyyyyeeeeeehhhhhhh plan B also didnt work. i have a plan C starting tomorrow.
im going to take a back seat from this point and effectively GM whats going on here. so you will all get little posts and objectives to whats going on. this is will personalise whats going on and allow your characters to find things etc. so for example.
True: your tank breaks down, if you look around you see a few radiers at X random roll you find these on the floor etc.
Ermac: rolls a 1 rocks fall you die. you rewapn at the CRU face with angry raiders :P.
(examples not what im asking you to do)
will you guys be happy with that. BT has cut of my net over my landlord not paying the bill >.< and i got post from work. this format might work out better just means i cant take part :(
