Couldve sworn they said squad uplink was gonna be their own uplink variant so it might be a mistake or a bug that only your squad can spawn on an uplink that isnt designated squad-only. Did they even implement squad only uplinks? They would certainly say so in patch notes if they did.

I know for a fact that if you drop uplinks while in a squad, only your squad can use them. If you drop uplinks not in a squad, then ANYONE can use them.

If you've ever been in a squad by yourself and you see an uplink to spawn on, it's someone else's uplink on your team obviously (unless the uplink you're looking at is yours).

Not true. The "no-squad squad" is in effect a squad, so anything dropped in there is accessible to all those in the same "no-squad squad".

Please remember that in pub games there's no limitations on who can spawn on a link, only in PC games where restrictions apply.

Thats false...sorry buddy..go in a pubmatch with a squad....lay an uplink....switch to a diffent squad ...no uplinks...even for you..you cant even use your own uplinks when you swich squad in PUB

Everyone can see and use your uplinks. That's how its always been and it has not changed. In PC you can also use the other squads uplinks. I don't know where that guy from seraphim gets his info. There is a bug or something wrong that is causing me to not be able to spawn in on uplinks sometimes. Or you wont be able to see them. This is happening even more since this patch. Everyone seems to have their own differing problem with the uplinks but when working properly anybody on your team not squad can see the uplink and the same for PC. The rules are not different.

I havnt seen one single statement anywhere with regards to there being a proble with the uplinks...glitch wise...i invite you to post any link that tells me who can acsess my uplinks..other than someones opinion

I play the game everyday with my full squad and I use high ground and good tactics. Lots of times I stand almost on top of my uplink so I can see lots of other ppl spawning there. Not too mention the blueberries don't know what an uplink looks like. Most of the times mine are the only ones in a Domination. My friend in my squad couldn't spawn on uplinks the other day. I was lookin at one and he was in my squad and he couldn't see it on his map. Or it will be on the map but not let you spawn. Both things can happen. Im right and if you need an official announcement then I don't know what to tell you.

So your saying a squad of 1, in regards to drop links is treating it as not being in a squad.
And your saying, if you switch squads mid battle the uplinks revert back to the days of squad only for you?
I don't do pc so I can't confirm /deny spawns there.

They used to fizzle out like other equipment when put on angles or bad spots. Thought they had a solution to that. (See the sliding RE video above)

Hey Guys I need help!

I have had several exchanges on the forums about who uses the uplinks (team/squad) and that there has been some sort of change going on with them.

I hve searched google and the forums and have literally found dozens of threads and hndreds of opinions but not one factual statement from CCP.

Can you guys please clear this up with everybody because many need to know.

I have proto uplinks for a reason and if you guys just went and made them squad only with out putting it in the patch notes or letting anyone know that would be pretty rude i think...just saying.

So Please Clarification on...

1. Who can use the uplinks that are deployed by me? team/ squad/ other squad or solo players?

2. Are there variations that do differt members of the team?

3. HaS CCP switched how the uplinks work recently...if so...when...and why didnt you tell us?

4. Is this problem with uplinks simply related to the inability to get my whole squad together in a battle together and "scotty is confused?

5. I have been testing this out and squad jumping to see what is lit and trying to figure this one out. If i jump out of my squad and lay uplinks do i continue getting the 25 points for the uplinks outside of squad?

6. Why is it called team spawn if its for your squad ? honestly this also works badley because simply getting the "team" chat to load to switch back to your squad takes almost 20 seconds sometimes which makes that idea bunk too....


Please CCP something officiall. I promise never to rant and rave again about the battle finder if you give me a good clear answer...

We've been considering adding squad only versions or making droplinks exclusive to squads for a while now. Would like to hear your thoughts on that.

* Not atm.
* No, we've not made any changes to them in quite a while.
* I don't think they would be related.
* You should do because it isn't tied to the squad just to your team spawning there.
* Because right now it can only do team spawn.

I think I trust your word on this more than the message that has been given out in the past. There has been some contradictory messaging. Considering how this seems to behave adds a lot of trust too!

I'm thrilled that Wolfman says that uplinks are supposed to be team-based, but something is wrong in New Eden, bros. Uplinks are simply not working properly in all cases. I've experienced this recently in pub and pc matches alike. There is a bug causing major inconsistencies in their performance.

And Wolfman...logis love their team-based links. Please don't change this! This is one of the main reasons why we're valued in the game, why we make a difference.

a squad of one is considered "squadless" and is like an independant blueberrie...i think...lol
