theres more shield HAVs because the last build was balance in HAVs warfare but favored shields in AV fights now in HAV warfare armor wins by a large margin and in AV fights it still favors shields because the plasma cannon is lacking in the direct...

LLAV is not meant for AV but to fit one for "AV" just use the tank fitting just with a lower booster/shield extender and fit the best missile. for a blaster fit a active heat sink in place of the shield extender. should not fit a small rail, ever.

the chance to dodge is limited in Eve. the chance to just miss is in dust that isn't in Eve. and btw this goes back to if something works well on one type of game it does not mean it will work the same way on a different game. that's why TTK in FP...

if your using the 90 degree one then it would be harder to tell, test it out on one of the smaller angle ones. I have seen it not correctly on heavies so must find out why... and btw I never have a get a margin of error other then no margin of error.

the height it also part of the scan radius as far as I can tell so im going to guess that was your problem plus the scanner starts it detected on TACNET at the first sweep detected. and most are 5seconds so not totally noticeable every time. hope ...
