DUST Search - Nova knifes need to be nerfed.

i suggest they lower the damage on them arent they supposed to be secondary weapons? yet people are running around like theyer primary weapons 1 hit killing people and even if its proto they dont even have the price to match the power they only cost 12,975 isk

The fact that they can sneak up on me, charge through gunfire, and get that kill before getting out again makes me appreciate and admire these noble souls! GIve us more ranges of Melee weapons so that we all can join in the jolly co-oper.... um killing!

If they were able to get close to you and catch you off guard for the knife they deserved that kill. Besides they are actually stabbing you. Not sure how you expect to be able to survive a knife that was designed to cut through drop-suit armor and whatever countermeasures put in place. Stick with others and don't get complacent stack a couple precision modules if you really are having trouble. I have seen them move like freaking sonic the hedgehog which is CRAZY but i am actually amused when they kill me. I have to admire a guy who brings a knife to a gun fight and can win. Besides its not like they are COD lunging from a mile away. Not my cup of coffee but im sure its mad fun to use

I can't count the times I been slaughtered trying to land the perfect stab. If even one thing goes wrong the Scout dies. The Scout that killed you earned his kill. It would render them completely useless. Also a secondary? No, not really. No one in their right mind will go "Oh hey, my AR ran out of bullets, instead of reloading let me whip out these knives and run straight at the guy who's shooting me." Just because it's classified as a sidearm doesn't mean its meant as a secondary weapon.

These weapons are the epitome of CQC. Thats guy has to get right up next to you to actually damage you. If he got all the way up to you; you being alone or in a group, he deserves to kill you. An I'll add a bit more; just because a weapon is a side arm doesn't mean it has to be less powerful than the other weapons; it's just that it it's a secondary. If sidearms shopuld not be used as main weapons then why does the minmatar scout have bonuses to side arm clip size. Nova knives already have their drawback and it comes in a pair. The first is that you actually have to reach your target and the second is that you can't run while you are charging them. So HTFU and other peoples weapons alone.
