Tar vs laser fights at 80m range can go either way. Tar does about 60% dam and laser does 120%(?). I saw the laser stop about 3m ahead of me and kept backing off so I didn't get melted. Was a unique fight, keep backing off and plinking him to deat...

Tac ar's range caps out at about 75m. I don't know about lasers. Oh and OB's count as longest kills, so I doubt you got it with a tac ar.
