At first I absolutely hated the range of the AR. I felt as if I were playing with a toy gun, and was doing more running to get into range than shooting. After a few maps it is still annoying, but bearable to a certain degree because your mind starts to adjust and tell you, " don't shoot yet, he's more than 30 feet away." So you wait patiently for him to close in or You get bored and go looking for other targets (which usually leads to them coming up behind me when i do
that)
Maybe this all is a little more bearable for me bc i can see that the HMG is pretty useless in terms of what it's weapon class should be capable of. In all honesty I think the weapon stats were perfectly fine at the end of last build (except for the laser rifle range which was obvious)
I think the real problem is the openness of the maps rather than the range and damage of the weapons. Of course people are going to get mad when you have them running across massive pieces of land with no cover and people are mowing them down with ARs and HMGs. So please just tighten up the maps and give our guns back.
My word of advice is give the AR a few games and let yourself adjust. I'm sure ccp isn't going to ignore the hate for forever. |

i use the AR and logest kill with it is 64.5 so far not sure if thats feet or yards (asuming its feet)
its taken some getting use to becoz if i can hit them they can hit me loving the changes tho no more peskey heavy armor dmg from LR'S
