21. Skill Level Goals for Newbs: Few at 5 or Many at 3 - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I'm at 31.5 mil SP, and I still don't have Armor/Shield upgrades to 5. For non-fitting skills that only give a slight stat percentage, it's not worth it to level those to 5 - particularly if you have other things you'd rather be skilling into. ...

25. Starting over with passive / active boosters - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
From passive gain (no booster) you get 24k SP a day. If you're logging in every day, you get an extra 3-6k per day. Using a regular passive booster, you get an additional 12k SP per day, so that's 42k SP per day total so long as you remember to ke...

26. Question re. Nanohive stats and Militia items. - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Pretty sure militia consumable items are still available for single purchase. There's a special section in the market for them (they aren't lumped in with the same type of standard/advanced/proto modules which you access through separate menus).

27. Question re. Nanohive stats and Militia items. - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
The standard hive replenishes 10% of your total ammo capacity per cycle, and consumes one cluster per cycle. So if you have an AR (with typically 300rd ammo capacity without ammo skills) you'll get 30 rds per cycle, and ten cycles will fully resto...

28. Hannari's Guide to Scanning - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I've finally confirmed that Scan profile/precision are rounded to the nearest whole number. On Oceania using two PS3s, I was able to passively detect a medium frame with one complex dampener (33.75dB rounded up to 34dB) using my E-WAR scout with P...

30. Dropsuit Upgrades and You - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
My rule of thumb - if it unlocks a module that you're planning to use, get it to 5. Otherwise leave it at 4 (if it imparts a useful bonus) or 3 (if you only plan to use the ADV module). Only exception would be the fitting skills - Engineering, Ele...

31. Passive Scans skill? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Passive scanning skills are really only worth it if you plan on going into Gallente scout or Caldari scout, and intend on using the modules. For mediums, the passive skills only give a slight advantage that you'll probably never notice anyway.

32. Knife Duel Practice in FW? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
I've only started using knives due to the event, and I'm keenly aware that my knife duel skills really suck. The thought occurred to me that Gal/Min FW would be a great place to try to get some practice spars in. I'm thinking we find a redline su...

33. Worth it to skill up shotguns? - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
This might be a silly question, but is the CRG-3 shotgun noticeably better than the standard Dren Shotgun? I'm using the Dren and doing okay with no SP into shotguns. I figure the minor boost in damage will hardly be noticeable as you have to land...

36. (STD) Gallente Medium Dropsuit Fitting recommendation for new players - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Alternatively you could squad up with another armor tanker and both run rep tools, and maybe a third guy to run K-2 nanohives. But I agree that for a beginner or low SP fit, armor is the way to go, since basic plates give you so much more HP for t...

Another +1 for the scan scout suggestion. I have proto scout, precision 5, and range 4 on my scout alt and it's been so refreshing playing with a suit with only 200 EHP. My passive scan range is 60m and my scan precision is 26.77dB using 2x Comple...

40. In Game Logi Lessons - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Slaying is tougher. In playing support logi, it's easy to get 2k-3k WP just from equipment spam, reps, and guardian points. It's a lot harder to get 2k-3k WP just from kills. As to my use of the suit, I use the logi because when running solo, I...
