You are missing the point of the test all together. The goal is to be able to update and add equipment to the game without waiting for a patch. The fact that the test will be using equipment thought up by players is a bonus.

Not dual wielding exactly (I don't think it would work well in this game), but I'm all for dual fitting a weapon doubling your ammo capacity, or just make a separate mod for weapon slots that is "extra ammo".
