No nerf for HMG means a bit of a relative buff against the assault weapons which are getting nerfed. That said, every single heavy I know is running damage mods which are getting hit pretty hard, so there's that.

The CR is quite powerful right now. Even more powerful than the more-QQed-about RR, IMO. Thankfully, 1.8 should help a bit with this problem. Will it be enough? Nobody knows, but I suspect not.
