Good point, although the current system has an animation that takes X long to stop hacking and re-equip your weapon. That is probably the cause as jumping is not enabled while hacking. You can move around a bit to try and dodge snipers though.

Sounds like client/server/client network connection issues. I see variations of this all the time. Client A thinks it dodged the missile, the server says no, but the final word is the server, which will blow you up but there is not enough feedback...

DUST does that with the DS3 as well. If you select the equipment you will stop doing anything else. If you are sprinting and reload you quit sprinting as well. Which is as designed currently.
